Friendly staff and great food.Posted Sep 28, 2015
We were looking for a hotel from which to view Avebury and the other prehistoric sites. This was perfectly located for that purpose. In addition it was friendly, clean, very quiet and the restaurant very good indeed, with excellent service.

Good Location But Looking And Feeling TiredPosted Sep 3, 2015
Good basic hotel but in need of a revamp ️as fixtures and fittings very tired. Clunky Air con and out dated furniture and wardrobes. Great bar and restaurant plus the leisure club.

Comfortable and relaxing StayPosted Sep 2, 2015
Pros: Very welcoming as you came in, water on reception. Bar area was good. nice and lively and a good selection of drinks.
Cons: More staff at the bar, often you had to wait to be served
Location: We walked into the Old town one night which had a good selection of bars and restaurants. We also went to the Steam museum and of course the outlet
This hotel is really good, nothing was too much trouble. We had robes to use by the pool and the room was comfortable. My only gripe is again how hotels treat children's sleeping arrangements. My son is nearly 12 and does like a 'proper' bed and not a camp bed as I would call it. We had a superior room so there was plenty of room so why not get rid of a few sofa's which no-one ever sits in and put a single bed there. I would pay extra for this!

Surprising receptionPosted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: Check-in and check-out...and the bits in between.
Cons: Clear the plates at breakfast a little quicker. The hotel was full so perhaps I'm being a little picky.
Location: We went the Uffington White Horse Fair, but that's only once a year.
I shouldn't be surprised but the check-in receptionist was excellent. What did surprise me was that the level of service continued throughout our stay; even my children commented about how good it was. This was at a time when the hotel was fully booked on a bank holiday Saturday as well. After a long and busy day, Marriott provided what many hotels fail on.

Nice but not perfectPosted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: It was very smart decor wise, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent
Location: its 10 minutes walk from Old Town, with a variety of eateries to suit all tastes. Also there is a nearby bus service if required.
On arrival we handed in our printed copy of our booking form which clearly stated that we had pre-paid for bed and breakfast. We were surprised to be asked if we wished to pay for breakfast, and informed the receptionist that we we believed that we had already paid. She informed us that we had not, but she would check, and vanished into a back office. On her re-appearance she said "thats all right then" and handed back our booking form. Feeling a bit confused we re-read our booking form and can confirm that we had indeed pre-paid for the breakfast. The remainder of our stay was fine, and if in the area would stay again. Mistakes like this should not happen and was embarrassing for us to be told we had not paid, when in fact we had.

Luxurious HotelPosted Aug 25, 2015
Arrived at the Hotel and was happy that we didn't have to pay for parking.Check-in went smoothl.our rooms were on the 4th floor which were very nice and comfortable. Only had one set of toiletries in the bathroom when we've had 2 at other hotels. Very hot throughout the hotel but we did have air conditioning which was a bit noisy during the night. Food excellent. Only downside was that the bar closed at 11pm over tbe weekend.

Would recommend!Posted Jul 22, 2015
We needed a place to stay between Oxford and stonehenge. This was the perfect place, room was very clean, we had free WiFi and breakfast plus our room was upgraded.
