Clean and the staff were helpful. But the night we stayed there seemed to be noise from other guests, who were enjoying some night time activities. And there also seemed to be noise from the pipes and flushing toilets in the rooms above.

Fab Friday night stay

I booked an executive room with a king. It was not a king bed! No phone, no fridge, no clock. If this is executive what are the others like? On Monday night we had a power outage for more than hour I went down to reception because there is no phone and they knew nothing about it. Rest of the hotel was good, after a while they reset the breaker no apologies nothing When we left the woman on reception merely confirmed we had paid, didn’t ask about our stay or how we liked the hotel, very impolite. I will not be recommending this hotel

Nice hotel
Perfectly adequate hotel in Wimbledon where we attended a wedding. It’s a bit tired but is in a good position and has free parking. The beds are hard though so neither of us slept well but the bathroom was large and with a great shower. It was quiet and peaceful.

First visit in Wimbledon
Difficult to manage the a/c- no phone in room but that's OK Shower door doesn't prevent water on the floor. Staff helpful but once in the room you have to go find them

A very worn hotel and nothing to praise.
We needed a place for the first few days of Wimbledon and this was one of the few hotels available. The hotel is extremely run-down. Our room felt like an old Motel-6 from the 70s. The bed linens were rough. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly, there was no place to put your towel as you showered so it had to be left on the floor. The furniture was not in great shape. The bathroom vanity area was very worn. There was no safe for your belongings, the bed was small. The elevator was teeny and I kept worrying we were going to get stuck in it. When we first arrived there was a dirty pillowcase slung over the top of the shower! I would not recommend this hotel unless it’s the only one left in Wimbledon and you have nowhere else to stay.

A Good Hotel at Wimbledon
Surrounding was alright, rather close to the Wimbledon station, many cafes along the routes. The room size was just alright for 2 persons. Large bath tub was pleasing, but needed to be careful to avoid slipping as the bath gel containing essential oil. The toilet flush buttons were too hard to press. I tried hard to figure out the air-cond setting so that it would not stop every hour. There wasn’t a minibar in it. Overall, it was still a comfortable 2-night stay.

Great hotel with two nearby subway stations
We had a nice room with Southern exposure. Although there is considerable next-door, we didn’t hear any noise. The air conditioning in the room is very good. We paid for a king size bed, but by North American standards, it’s really a queen size bed. Still, it was very comfortable with good quality linens, and pillows. The staff at the check-in desk were friendly and helpful. They provided maps of the area as well as London. There is no safe in the room, although you can ask the front desk to store your valuables in the hotel safe. Nor is there a microwave oven or bar fridge. The room does not have a telephone but it does have a folder of tourist information. The hotel says that there is no smoking in the hotel. However, there is an ashtray on the balcony. Anybody smoking on the balcony would easily bring odours of cigarettes back into the apartment and onto the furniture and bed. Our room did smell very clean There are two Tesco Express stores nearby. A 15 minute walk towards the underground stating will take you to the Sainsbury supermarket. The hotel serves a breakfast buffet, but no other meals. Very good Wi-Fi. There are three great channels on TV that play music videos of the 60s, 70s and 80s. You can also access the hotel from the London underground by taking the black (Northern) line to South Wimbledon station. There is closer access than the Wimbledon station, the last stop on the green line. We would be very happy to stay at this hotel again.

Good points… free parking although limited spaces. Very clean. Bad points… hotel very tired in need of refurbishment. Reception not particularly helpful. Lift is the size of a shoe box so have to lug all luggage up the stairs.

Quirky, kind and helpful
The Antoinette is a bit quirky and old fashioned but very comfortable, quiet and was just right for me. The staff went above and beyond to help me with a booking problem. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and its very kind staff.
