Delightful hotel in beautiful setting

Cons: Service in the restaurant
Beautiful hotel and exceptional room, very spacious and comfortable, with a huge bed, and bathrobes, made the stay very good value for money. However, service in the restaurant was very slow, considering it was very quiet and mid week, especially at breakfast. Most disappointing was the breakfast, in which my mother ordered a muffin with butter and conserves. She was presented with half a white muffin on a plate, nothing else. A little poor, but when I refused to pay, I was not charged and the service tax was taken off. If the service is looked at, this is an exceptional London hotel, near enough to central London, with the beauty of the quiet of the common.

Perfect Wimbledon location, comfortable beds

The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Right beside a nice park. The only issue we had is that we left a do not disturb sign out of our door and when we returned from our outing during the day our room had been cleaned and the sign back on the inside of the door. I don't think it is good policy to clean rooms of customers who wish to have their privacy.

A wonderful setting a few minutes walk from the village. No hairdryer in the room was annoying. Lipstick stains on wine glass at dinner. Lovely friendly guy in reception, the rest of the staff looked like they really didn't want to be there.
