Last Second Ski Trip

Pros: Everything
Location: Eat ski and bowl
A couple friends and I decided to go skiing last minute and stayed here. Everything was better than expected from staff to room. Food nearby and bowling ally.

Not upscale, but a good deal

Pros: It was inexpensive.
Location: Mount Snow is 45 minutes away.
I didn't mind the room. The carpet was new, the sheets were clean, and it had everything that I needed, including free coffee and a fridge.

The place met my expectations and was true to photos. It was conveniently located and the staff was really nice. Overall, I'm really pleased by the experience considering the price and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for convenience over charm.

Room exceded my expectation. Bed was very comfortable. Room was updated and clean. Spacious. Bathroom was okay in need of updating. Would go back.

The manager was very nice, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The rooms are a bit outdated, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price.

I loved the rooms.

Location: Brattleboro Vermont--I do research there so the hotel was in an ideal location for that.
The room was very nice, comfortable, clean. Staff very friendly, breakfast variety very good.

You can do better!

I didn't care for this place at all. It isn't a hotel at all, more like a motel. The staff were very friendly but that was the only positive. The rate we got was beyond ridiculous and they weren't even sold out so I am not sure why Hotels.com even allowed that. The Wifi was very spotty, the bed uncomfortable, toilet didn't flush well and the decor was very old.

For your information hotels.com and sites like it list all sorts of lodging accomodations including inns, B&B's, motels and hotels. Our apologies that we were simply not what you were looking for, but we do put several photos of our property both inside and out to show online travellers exactly what we are. We are glad to hear that you found the staff friendly. We are in the midst of updating all our furniture, there are a few guestrooms that still have a few older pieces, those will be replaced in the next few weeks.

More like a motel

Pros: Wi Fi service was good. The staff was friendly. The location was good.
Cons: I am not sure how the rooms could be freshened and the utilities improved.
Location: Nice location convenient to town, the highway, and services.
A nice operator was available for any issues. The room had a musty feel. There was no way to get natural light in the room without loss of privacy. We had embarrassing plumbing problems with the toilet. There was no safe. It was nicely located outside of Brattleboro. The breakfast was okay but we preferred to get quality food in town.

We are glad you thought the wifi service was fast and reliable and the staff helpful and friendly. We realize that there is a desire to get natural light in the room without losing privacy-we are in the process of replacing the drapes and looking into some sheers that will let do just that. The maintenance department has been alerted to the issues with the toilet in your guest room. Thank you for your feedback.

Non-smoking room smelled like smoke, mattress was ok, but pillows were too few and uncomfortable. Good for one night, but would not stay longer.

Thank you for your feedback. Our guest rooms are non smoking and we strictly enforce the smoking policy here in Vermont that rewuires guests to smoke away from doors, windows and public access ways. We do have a nice outdoor picnic area for designated smoking. Unofrtunately, from time to time, people may ignore the rules, which is not always under our control. We have brand new carpetting throughout and have repainted ceilings, walls etc. to remove any past smoking odors. Our sincerest apologies that your guest room had an odor. The housekeeping staff has been made aware, and we have put an ozonator in the room to remove any lingering odors. We use three pillows on our full beds and four on the king bed rooms. We will switch out the pillows in the guest room you stayed in, as we just purchased new down alternative fluffy pillows! Thank you again for your review, try us again to see the continued improvements here.
