Cozy lodge, nice location

Posted Dec 7, 2016
Pros: Location, cozy fireplace in the lobby.
Cons: They only offer breakfast and on-site dining during the main ski and snowboard season.
The lodge is nicely located immediately at the lakeshore, and the fireplace in the lobby is a nice place to spend a winter evening. Rooms offer rather basic comfort (e.g. TV's are very old school) but are clean and what you get is definitely okay for the money you spend. Tap water and toilet flushing did not work when I arrived, but that was promptly fixed upon request and besides that, I had nothing to complain.

Definitely needs updating

Posted Oct 11, 2016
Location: Try Dots restaurant. Some decent shopping. Wonderful views during leaf changing season.
It is what it is. The hotel was built long ago and hasn't had any repairs or updates since then. The pipes and the electrical can be seen on the outside of the walls. It was obvious there was a leak in the ceiling and it was just painted over. The carpet was stained. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Not worth it.

Pros: Mountain and Lake View
Cons: Everything
We spent roughly $300 for 2 nights, and was expecting something a little better... NOT super luxury but at least something better than a $50 motel. The staff and mountain view was nice. However, the facility is extremely run down. It's not sound-proof (you can hear kids crying in the hall, people talking in the jacuzzi, and couples have sex), the bed was uncomfortable, the room was small, and there wasn't a refrigerator.

Pros: location was great
Cons: everything else
Location: Southern Vermont at beginning of peak foliage. Beautiful back road driving. Many fine dining places to visit, yes the area was nice.
There were no services, coffee was available 4 floors down by aged elevator. House keeping was poor, dirty room, dirty bath room, and dirty windows. Carpet should have been replaced long ago. Furniture was crammed into small room it was so small and over crowded that to adjust a.c. I had to use a mirror to read options. Bed so close to window one had to crawl over bed to open or close curtains. Light fixtures falling apart, not only old but dangerous as well.

Out dated

Pros: NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: New carpeting, clean updated furniture, paint everything.
A bit on the growdy side. Very out dated. Furniture worn and looks like it was donated from Salvation Army.

Terrible room. Payed the same as a friend and had a room that was half the size. The heat was on and overwhelming when we arrived. The window only opens a crack.
