Decent hotel for a one night stay. Kind of like spending the night at your Grandmother's.

The visit was great bc of the conviviality of the host, the excellent cuisine, family friendly, congenial atmosphere. I didn't fell alone although technically I was.

The hotel is most definitely dated in terms of decor. However, it was extremely clean and the hotel staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. My daughter was there for a ski race camp and they dried all of her wet gear for me every night and had it waiting for me the next morning. The restaurant and free breakfast were outstanding. I would most definitely stay there again. Location was great too.

Tavern was busy and food was good. The Inn keeper was most kind.

Back to the 50's!

Posted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: Close proximity to Landgrove which was our goal.
Location: We were there for weekend retreat so were not interested in things to do. However, in Manchester, there are a lot of shops within walking distance.
Have to climb over 1 bed to enter tiny bathroom with bare essentials and then wait for hot water. It felt like camping as a teenager back in the day. The room itself is decorated in pink and white with lots of floral patterns. Again, very few amenities or space for belongings.Cable TV in the room. Quiet atmosphere for a sound night's sleep. I would think twice before booking again.
