Horrible and rude

I would never recommend not only this hotel but Expedia they lied to me and said they noted that the pool was closed even though we booked with an agent over the phone personally and they said oh ya beautiful pool workout room the whole works so thanks for nothing Expedia

Although I am not at the Expedia desk, I have taken note of your comment to ensure our website and our booking partners have this information. Jordan, we do have a beautiful pool, unfortunately, this are of the Hotel was compromised during the last Windsor Storm which affected not only our property but another 6,000 homes and businesses. We are working diligently on getting this and other areas back into operation, but the damage to the area has been significant and it will take some weeks to put back together.

Near the Ambassador Bridge

Pros: Convenient location. When i called to complain, front desk staff came right up to shut the party room down.
Cons: Attention to detail.
I've stayed at this hotel several times on business. I usually find attention to detail is lacking and this time was no exception. Front desk clerk gave us a room that was already occupied, so we opened the door to a woman drying her hair in the bathroom. She was shocked. No wonder!! At 5 pm on a Saturday, there were no towels left at the pool. We had party-hearty types from a ball hockey tournament in the next room and had to call the front desk at 11:30 pm to get them to pipe down, but were woken up again at 5:30 am because someone in that room had the TV blaring. Last time i stayed here my room smelled like cigarette smoke, so had to change rooms. Don't think i'll bother with this hotel again.

Smelly reno, bad restaurant service

Pros: Location is good for our particular needs.
Cons: Attention to detail, follow through on requests, and the restaurant needs more staff on weekends.
Have stayed here before but not in a while. Hotel is being renovated. The look is modern but hotel cleaning staff can't find all the dust. The hotel smells like it's been fumigated: people with sensitivities will not enjoy their stay. The most disappointing was the attached restaurant. They were understaffed for dinner and breakfast. Service was slow, orders were not taken correctly (breakfast). Scrambled eggs overcooked on one order; a switch-out of food on another order was completely forgortten. Won't eat again at this restaurant. asked for extra towels for our room, and replacement of the in-room coffee service: it was forgotten, and I had to ask again the next morning.

Hotel staff nightmare

Pros: Very clean
Cons: Staff attitudes, training, procedures to help guests who are having problems. If we knew there was no crib, we would have made other arrangements.
Location: Right on Huron Church and convenient for travellers as it's near the 401.
Our one night stay turned into quite the nightmare. We called to inform staff of our late check in and without asking they assured us the crib we had requested for our 8 month old would be in the room when we got there. We arrived at 11:30 at night and they told us the only crib they had was broken and unsafe and the reason they didn't call is because Expedia failed to provide them with my phone number. Upstairs we found 2 double beds instead of the king sized bed we paid for. We called to the front desk and Robert told us to "call Expedia and complain". The staff did not care and it's disconcerting the fact they all had complete hate ons for Expedia. Hotel is nice and the room was very clean but the staff made this an absolutely nightmarish stay. I would recommend the Casino hotel or the Hampton Suites across the street. The chain's tagline is "Stay Thoughtful" but this is the complete opposite of what we experienced at this location.

Nice hotel. Great pool. Not such a great room

We had to switch from our first room, which was amazing. Because there was no blackout curtains on our window. When we switched to the next room it was no where near as nice. The room was smaller, not as nice of a bathroom. The bed was not as comfortable, and the air conditioner kept turning off and it was so loud it kept us awake at night. I also was not aware that the building was under construction and the hallways and elevator had no air conditioning. Nice clean hotel. But too much to complain about. Pool was by far the nicest I have seen.

The hotel was very close to the river walk.

Greeted by very friendly staff. The hotel and our room were both very clean. The pool and spa was great fun. Breakfast was standard, dinner was excellent and a little pricey.

FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Top Notch Hotel, Excellent Service provided during our stay. Highly Recommend! The Pool and Hot tub was nice. We had dinner at the attached Grille 55 and the food was excellent. This Holiday Inn is in the perfect location to go shopping and go to the casino and downtown and just to explore Windsor Ontario.

I had to cut my stay short and the Manager would not refund the last night. The laminate flooring in the room is cheap and the installation was poor. I had to fix the toilet!
