Couldn't even get to the front door.

In booking our room for 5 people, I explained that I needed a wheelchair accessible room. We arrived at the hotel around 12:30am. The parking lot was not well lit and the spaces were not well marked. I saw no handicapped parking spaces, and as I drive a wheelchair ramp van, I found an area where I could take up two parking spaces to accommodate the ramp on my van. When trying to get into the hotel, both wheelchair ramps to the sidewalk opened to a parking place and both spaces had cars in them. My daughter walked around the hotel and found a sidewalk more flush to the grass. I was able to access this sidewalk and went into the hotel through a service entrance. The woman working was very nice, but looked concerned when she saw I was in a power wheelchair. She asked if we had reservations and I said yes. She had the reservation, but said there was no indication an accessible room was needed or that a first floor room was needed. There was no elevator and she said she did not have a room on the first floor. She said the hotel across the street was a sister hotel and she could call to see if the had an accessible room. There were some thing wrong with the room, but given that this was after midnight and we had no reservation, I cannot complain. The woman working there was very nice and brought an extra pillow and blanket very quickly when we requested them. I will say that the "free" breakfast was very disappointing at both hotels: no eggs, bacon, sausage.

Thank you very much for your feedback. As a smaller hotel we have to 2 accessible spots. I am terribly sorry there was a conflict with your reservations and are taking initiative to ensure a better check in.
