Nice Hotel and good price

Pros: Very clean and they have a laundry facility.
Location: We stay there on our trips to Sabine Pass for fishing and crabbing.
This is my third stay at this hotel and I plan on staying again on our fishing trips. Rooms are very clean and quiet. I would definately recommend this hotel!

a blow dryer and an iron would be great items to add to your rooms

Unfortunately being a Motel 6 chain, we all have to follow the brand model which is "Nothing fancy and no gimmicks just a clean comfortable room with friendly service", this in-turn helps keep operating costs down; which is why Motel 6 properties can offer a great clean room for such low prices. We hope this information will help better serve you in your future expectations while staying at one of the many Motel properties nationwide. The microwave and refrigerators however are a item we were able to have in our rooms, this isn't something every Motel 6 will have free of charge.

worth the price

They did not have my reservation when I got there on Friday, but it was Expedia's fault. John was as nice as he could be under the circumstances. It would be nice to have a pool & breakfast etc, but it was clean & the upgrade were very nice!!

the bare necessities - really bare

Be aware that there is no breakfast, no coffee or water for guests, no coffee makers in rooms, no clock in room, no amenities in room except for a bar of soap. The TV worked sometimes, but the remote didn't work at all. AC doesn't work, so we cooled down by taking a shower. There's no hot water in the room - water comes out at room temperature. Even though very few people stayed there, we were all put together in the back corner. Don't expect assistance with anything; treat it more like camping. So, as long as you have no expectations, you will be okay in this place.

Im sorry, would you please reach out to the property as we would like to get more information on how you were able to get a room in the corner of the property, they have been offline since 2013 and used as storage rooms for renovation supplies since.

Thank you for your feedback, I would like to take this time to clarify for you and any future potential Motel 6 guests, whether it is at our fabulous location, or one of many across the nation. Motel 6 does not want any amenities other then what we already have in the rooms. Here is a quote of the Motel 6 business model "At Motel 6, our commitment to guests is the same as the day we opened: no frills, just a clean comfortable room at the lowest price of any national chain" To keep brand standards consistent across the board, No frills means just that, no extra amenities are permitted in guest rooms. Shampoo, Coffee, facial tissue, irons, and alarm clocks. However at our particular location here at the Motel 6 Winnie, we do offer these amenities at the front desk free of charge, all you have to do is ask for them upon checking in. These amenities are offered by us at our discretion, meaning other properties may or may not offer the same. As for Coffee, we have Coffee in the Lobby all day.

Great stay. Clean and moderately price.

Pros: The staff was excellent and room very clean.
Cons: Real cream for the coffee?
Location: Nothing...this is a convenient location. However, there was a nice coffee shop in town.
Very impressed with this hotel and I would highly recommend staying here. The room was clean and with recent upgrades. Park your car right outside and convinent to the hwyway and you cannot beat the price.
