A Good Stay

Beautiful lobby, kind staff...then you walk through a door to the guest rooms and feel like you are headed down to a basement or, worse, a dungeon if you take the narrow ramp down, instead of the stairs. Unfortunately, the carpet is dark and crumpled adding to the dank basement feel.
I was thankful to find a window proving me wrong. I think having curtains open when a new guest walked in a room, would be beneficial.
The room was very clean and adequate, but not quite as nice as the many other Canad Inns we normally stay at. We were thankful that the beds were very comfy. A great sleep was had by my entire family.
Water pressure in the shower was great. I appreciated the fridge (that we thought was missing at first because it is hidden behind a door, lol), the coffee and the microwave. My children loved the tv and wifi.
Unfortunately, the grout was missing in the corners of the area where the kiddy pool drains into the bigger pool. My 21 mth old was climbing to look at his older siblings on the slide and somehow slid against it resulting in a good scratch across his entire abdomen. I did alert management (I was not angry...it was an accident). They were great to deal with, and were mortified looking at my babies tummy. :) I am quite sure they were going to fix it ASAP. I am hoping they round the corners out as sharp tile corners and children do not mix well and the grout will eventually wear out again. :)
