Unsanitary and Noisy

We were prepared for a hotel in the downtown core of a major city, but were not prepared for this. We were hesitant to leave our car in the parking lot, and there were a number of people milling about who did not appear to be staying at the hotel.
When we entered our room, I noted that one of the two double beds had a visible stain on the coverlet/comforter -- a stain that was clear and crusted over, and reflected light. As it was very late and we had an early start, we agreed to sleep in the other double bed... Until I pulled back the sheets and saw a blood stain on the fitted sheet.
I called down to the front desk to request that our sheets and pillows be changed out immediately. Instead, we were moved to a room with a king-sized bed. The room was marked as non-smoking, but smelled heavily of smoke (possibly from an adjoining room). The room was at the end of a hall, next to an emergency exit. There had been a hockey game earlier in the night, and we had people going in and out of the emergency door and making a considerable amount of noise directly outside of our room off and on between midnight and 5:00am (I was woken up every 45 minutes or so). Also, despite being down the hall from the elevator, the doors were so old and loud that we could hear them clanging open and closed every time it was used, like a garbage chute.
Do not stay here. I'd even advise avoiding Winnipeg entirely, if possible.
