close to what we needed

Pros: location, pool, hot tub, restaurant and lounge very handy.
Location: easy to get in and out of from all directions. bowling alley right there, would have used if time allowed Stores close by
we were very pleased with our visit to this hotel for trip. we would look to booking here again when we visit as it had the amenities that we were looking for close and close by. it is an older hotel but has been well looked after and provided all the comforts we required. Restaurant in the hotel had a good variety and staff were very personable. The pool was great c/w with hot tub. cleaning staff were also very polite and helpful. thank you for a great stay.

Close to friends I was visiting

I was there for a week, so found the hotel to be lacking in comfort. The room was fine, but the bathroom was very small and confining. There was no elevator and as I have trouble with stairs, this was a bit of a problem. The restaurant was terrific and the staff, as a whole, were very good and accommodating. For a stay of a day or two it would be adequate. Louise Carther

Room clean but hotel reunion down Dirty carpets

Just an overnight stay

This hotel needs a desperate overhaul in the entrance and hallways, in fact it almost scared us away. The hallways and staircase are dirty and smelly, we were relieved to see the room was more recently renovated and less odifferus. The staff was curtious, and the restaurant was decent but when traveling through Winnipeg I would look for a different option next time.

Rooms so small you couldn't walk around the sides of the bed.

The noise from the pool could sometimes be loud. I was on second floor. Took me forever to find an ice machine. Signs say by the pool. However, there's a sign on the second floor by the pool entrance that says ice in lobby. Had me going in circles. Overall nice hotel.

Nice and clean

Great Times! Great big rooms. Our kids loved the two pools and the hot tub. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We all look forward to going back there soon .

Good price, good location.

Pros: There were very pretty plants growing around the pool.
Cons: The mattress on the hide-a-bed was so hard and uncomfortable that even my kids couldn't sleep on it.
Location: Parking is very tight for people with a big four-door truck, but it is off Fermor so you can get anywhere from there in no time.
I guess I am used to having fresh air and a lot of space so this hotel was not right for me. Other than that, this place would be a good deal. The hall ways were long, narrow and dark. The window couldn't open because it overlooked the pool, so no privacy if you opened the curtains either. If I went back I would ask for a room facing away from the pool to the outside and I would ask whether or not the window could open. Also, I would never get a room with a hide-a-bed again for the kids, they couldn't sleep on it, so that was a hard two nights.

We have checked into this and have ordered new ones for the rooms that have a hide a bed. Our larger rooms at the front of the Hotel have window that open to the outside. Unfortunately our Pool side rooms do not due to the high humidity from the Pool.

Friendly and efficient staff.

The room was clean and i like the location near to many walkways and shops that provide the basics. The staff were great. I had a noise problem for a short time but staff addressed this in a prompt and effective way.

Not impressed

While the room was clean and the staff were ok, it was quite shocking to find the television volume was locked on one setting. I'm hard of hearing and the staff could do nothing to adjust the volume so I could relax and enjoy a program. Also tried to make use of the fridge provided in the room, once again, the temperature control was locked. The fridge was set at a luke warm setting and the knob removed so guests cannot adjust the temperature. Why even offer a fridge? The bathroom sink was plugged and couldn't be tended to until the following day. The AC unit was malfunctiong and had hand written "directions". We turned the AC on and it would work for a short while and then the heat would randomly kick in. No elevator. Breakfast was advertised as included but was not. Overall, we will not stay here again.
