Great location to WFU. Staff was kind and the place was clean. But, the rooms need a bit of maintenance. The toilet seat in our room was very loose as was the shower head. But, overall-certainly worth the price. Also, the breakfast room and the gym was kept very clean.

It took longer than expected to check in. Although two people were on duty, they were working with a single guest. The on-site restaurant had moved so limited dinner choices without a car. No bar. Breakfast was good. Several good choices. Staff immediately responded to an issue I identified. Staff was friendly and polite.

I didn’t like how my sister and I were attacked by a dog in the hallway because some kids released their dog and when we reported it to the front desk, the two young ladies thought it was extremely funny.

I struggled trying to decide if I wanted to write a positive or negative review during my 1-night stay. However, I’ve just about had enough. At check-in, front desk lady didn’t make eye contact with me, didn’t greet me, didn’t say a word to me and instead she had an AirPod in talking to her “Auntie” on the phone. I’m not saying this lady was rude toward me, I’m just saying she doesn’t have the customer service skills necessary to engage with hotel guests. A little more acknowledgment and conversation with who is in front of you goes a long way. Get checked in, my room was located on the 2nd floor but only if I walked through the labyrinth of hallways first. I’m perfectly mobile but I can see this being an issue for someone if they potentially dont want to walk a quarter mile just to get to their room. Got into my room, noticed it was cold. Oh, that’s because there’s poor insulation from the outdated windows they have installed here. I can only imagine what their electricity bill might be. Decided to take a shower, nope, couldn’t do that. Why? No shower curtain. It was late, I just wanted to bathe myself and go to bed. I didn’t want to wait for someone to deliver a shower curtain. Room was relatively clean, no issues with that. I did call front desk this morning to notify them that there was no shower curtain because who knows if they would’ve charged me! I didn’t get a “sorry about that” or apology, they just said “ok you’re good.”…. I have more to say.

It seems they are understaffed or are running on the mercy of volunteers! Check-in took about 15 minutes and no one during that time talked to us or even acknowledged our presence! Then, around 6:00 AM the fire alarm went off and the staff didn't know what to do. The next day I tried to turn the TV in my room on but it wouldn't. I called the desk but all they had to tell me was that I had to turn the TV button on (and I told them it was already on). Since my impression was that the hotel was run by a bunch of volunteers, I decided it would be too much to ask them to do (because they were they to help, not as their job! ) This branch is definitely a tarnish on the reputation of BW Plus.

This Best Western is a 2 star hotel, no better. Rooms were decently clean with really uncomfortable desk chair and non-functional wardrobe (no drawers and the one place that was available to hang things was so low that shirts dragged on the floor of the wardrobe - WTH??) Hallways, elevator, lobbies and external patios were just gross - sticky, baked in dirt and grime. Just made me squirm. Will not stay again.

The hotel was perfectly average. (I give 3 stars for average and not 5 stars like everyone else). The staff was friendly. The check in/out desk was an actual office desk which felt weird. The one elevator was very small and felt like it needed maintenance. There is an EV charger at an awkward place (blocks 2-watt traffic) however I couldn’t get it to work. We could hear a train frequently but not while we were sleeping. I would return to the hotel.

Upon arrival at my room, I found a cockroach in the bathroom. While I didn't see any other bugs for the remainder of my stay I was left paranoid that they were in the room. No other complaints about the hotel.
