It is an older home with a small, skinny staircase to get to the rooms, and the family who owns it lives there. That said, the room was like a little apartment. It was comfortable with a sitting room separate from the bedroom. Furniture wasn’t new, but comfortable. Bathroom was nice, though the shower was a little small. “In such high altitude, with the vanishing winter and melting snow, there are really a lot to explore in oberhof. The stay at the hotel was excellent and authentic. The breakfast has many variations everyday, the fruits and vegetables were really very fresh. The staffs were well behaved and have showed good hospitality.
