Major Mix-Up: Our 25th Anniversary Getaway

When we arrived, we found out that the room we booked on Expedia was out of service. (It was actually the room where the front desk clerk lives!) They offered to move her out and clean it for us if we would just wait an hour or so...seriously? Instead, we agreed to a motel room. We were charged the full motel room rate (which was less than the b&b--for a reason, that's for sure! However, they invited us for a free breakfast in the Inn the next morning for our troubles, and the food was good. The motel room itself was extremely clean, and had a refrigerator and microwave. However, the chair in the room was falling apart, and the chain for the door was residential quality, (it would have never kept an intruder out) and not installed properly. They could use some new mattresses in the motel!
