Nice hotel, close to downtown.

A nice hotel, close to downtown shops and restaurants. Beach and lake views great.
Hotel restaurant menu needs revising. They are trying too hard to appear upscale by adding a lot of exotic competing flavors, garnishes and ingredients into their entrees. Best to stick to the burgers if you go there or ask them to keep your entree simple, fresh and eliminate some of the multiple layers of garnishes and presentation elements - they just don't work. I ordered spinach salad, and even that was loaded with unusual garnishes - instead of fresh tomatoes, they sauteed the tomatoes in with onions and a ton of whole roasted garlic cloves, not to mention they added fried cheese balls that looked like sea urchins, fried prosciutto and jumbo watermelon radish roses! I did not eat half the stuff. Also noticed they like to fry or roast what are usually fresh ingredients like fried asparagus, fried avocado, fried cauliflower, and roasted radish.
