Beware

Pros: nothing
Cons: install CCTV, security lights at back of hotel.Make sure windows cannot be opened at ground floor.block access from side of hotel to back
Whilst staying at this hotel in October we returned to our room at night to find it had been broken into and all our suitcases and all belongings stolen.We quickly realised that it had been very easy for the thieves to break into our room as there is no CCTV at back of hotel,no lighting at back of hotel, easy access via side of hotel and easily opened ground floor windows. To add to our distress the hotel were almost comically inefficient. We were forced to conduct the traumatic police interview in the reception area, not offered so much as a glass of water or cup of tea, not shown to our replacement room which is in a new wing and not easy to find,and in the morning,knowing we had lost EVERYTHING not being offered anything in the way of toothbrushes or toiletries The general manager seems to think her staff went above and beyond their duty in looking after us.!! I have been asking to see a copy of their risk assessment since this happened.Had they simply told me they are not obliged to do so(they are not) that would have been the end of that line of inquiry. They chose to totally ignore my request until I was accused excessive and unwarranted behaviour and harassment. Please don't stay in this hotel and if you must insist on a room in the new wing. i

Hotel staff friendly especially the waitress in the restaurant. Bedrooms clean but tired looking. Could do with a bit of an overhaul.

Ok for a short stay

Friendly service & large room, however the room does need updating. The bathroom had cracked tiles, had a damp smell and is in fairly poor condition.

Quiet and Restful Stay

Stay was quite good and relaxing. For a stay of one week, our room was quite roomy. However, efforts should be made by the Hotel to provide more guest amenities like shower cap, bath robes, face towels and bedroom slippers.

Worst Hallmark hotel I've stayed in.

Uncleaned toilet in first room I was given, was upgraded to Room 403 which had been recently been refurbished. Shower drainage system blocked and raidiator hinges had broken. Reported to reception on departure and they said they would get the manager to call me, No phone call as of yet .

Notices indicate rooms are going to be revamped which will be appropriate. The outside also needs attention. Service is very slow with servers having to be chased which is annoying. Just okay for a one nighter

No air con and very hot in rooms. Couldn't bare it at all.
