Great stay, on business trip. One of the nicest hotels in the area.

Nice hotel; convenient locationPosted Oct 13, 2015
Pros: It was conveniently off the expressway and close to the event we were attending. Our room was clean.
I could not get hooked up to wifi even with the access number we were given. The mattress was too firm for my liking, but the room was very clean and pleasant and there was good hot water for morning showers.

A bit run down, but well maintained.Posted Oct 8, 2015
Pros: Location. There just aren't many options in the Trenton/Woodhaven area and this is the most affordable without being a dive.
Cons: Bathrooms, while clean, definitely could use new fixtures, etc.
Location: Lots of restaurants and stores. Trenton and Woodhaven are mostly strip malls and chain restaurants. You are fairly close to the river and marina.
Some rooms are better than others. The room I had on this stay was in better condition than my previous stay. Also, if possible, avoid rooms near the rear of the hotel where there is a lot of highway noise. The game room is nice. The restaurant in the hotel is convenient, but there are many other restaurants within a mile of the hotel as well.

our stay at best westernPosted Aug 28, 2015 on Hotels
stayed for a few days with family. the place is clean and nice as pictured on hotels.com; however, the bathroom in the room that we stayed was too small. The toilet and tub were in one room with the sink right outside. The door to the bathtub and toilet was too close to the toilet. When designing the bathroom, they should have moved the door further away to allow people more room to get dressed or undressed without taking extra measures not to touch the toilet. that was annoying. I've seen public restrooms with this problem. They need to correct this. Another thing, I needed a cot and was told by hotels.com that the hotel charges $10 per night. However, when I got there the best western told me that it was $20 per night for the cot. I was irritated and argued, and they gave me the $10 per night rate. Hotels.com and best western should make sure people know ahead of time the prices so travelers won't have these issues. On a positive note, the pool and other amenities was decent (the pool especially, was nice and soothing). the motel is close to several eateries, walmart, target, a large well-lit all night bp gas station stocked with food, and is approximately 10 minutes from the airport and car rental areas (which is what I wanted). The people at the hotel were polite.

HUGE BLOOD ON SHEETS, mattress pad, mattress!Posted Aug 18, 2015 on Hotels
BLOOD ON BED! Pulled back covers and saw dark spot, pulled back sheet and huge blood spot on mattress pad, pulled back pad, same spot on mattress. I was ready to leave! Do they not change mattress pad?? How did housekeeper put a sheet over this? I'd review further, but nothing else matters.
