Wonderful Boutique Hotel in great areaPosted Nov 14, 2015
Location: Located directly opposite Centennial Park for a morning walk. Just off Oxford St so easy walking to shops , pubs and restaurants
We have stayed here before with friends, however this stay was organised n relation to business in Sydney. The Hotel is quirky but has the most wonderful feel to it with all the nooks and crannies and artworks in all the corridors. In some ways it feels about like Fawlty Towers but without everything going wrong. Breakfast is wonderful with a beautiful buffet being served in the dinning room area with seating available right out to the footpath to watch the world go by. We had Room 9 on this visit the entrance which looked the entrance to rabbit burrow. However when entering you find a clean well ordered room a bit on the small side but then you go to the french doors on the other side of the room and you find you have your own private garden courtyard, absolutely fantastic for an afternoon wine and snacks. Bathroom was clean and tidy but the shower lacks any pressure. The only criticism would be a lack of ventilation. The room has a ceiling fan and air con. but it would be nice to have a security chain or other on the french doors so you cold leave them ajar on a warm night for fresh air. Other than that, limited parking on site, and they charge accordingly. All in all would recommend to anyone who wants something more than the big chain hotels.

Boutique is the way to goPosted Aug 18, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: Elegant and personalised. Beautiful room with a renovation that was contemporary yet sympathetic to the building's history and age.
Location: Excellent location in the heart of Woollahra with designer boutiques, cafes & galleries at your doorstep. Centennial Park a highlight nearby.
Loved staying in this Boutique hotel. Intimate and charming, a personalised experience, it felt like your home. The gourmet buffet breakfast was excellent, the luxury and intimacy of the lounges and foyer areas added to the whole experience. Great café/ restaurant , 'Vincent'. It was good to avoid the hectic traffic and business of the CBD area.

Location & CharacterPosted Aug 17, 2015 on Wotif
Great location, an historic hotel with great atmosphere and the staff went out of their way to be welcoming & helpful. Everything and more in close proximity, including buses. Some review commented on small rooms, get over yourself and pay for a larger one! Would definitely stay there again.

Great location, sorry, small room.Posted Aug 10, 2015 on Wotif
Most aspects of the hotel were good. Room very disappointing for the price. Room size just big enough for double bed, bathroom only the size for 1 person at a time.
