I would not call this a hotel. This is a grade above the old Chinese government guest houses of 1960's. While it may be acceptable to some Chinese (surely not to all) I would not go there again as an American. The place has no lobby, non of the staff speak English, the area is really rough (street girls all over the place), they ask for a cash deposit on pre-paid reservations (no credit cards accepted) that is returnable on checkout but takes 20 min to get your money back, on and on ...
We booked here because it was supposed to be close to the airport but we ended up with a 15 min taxi ride.
I am sure you get the picture ....!
