Expect the best, be prepared for worst. We just came back from a vacation with 9 people. This review is based on the resort/building we stayed in, don't know how the other ones are. We stayed in the Colonial/Jalisco building.
Let me start with pros as there are only a few. Like most of the reviews state, the grounds are immaculate and beautiful. The staff is nice and accommodating (although my baseball cap got jacked from the room). The pools are clean and in good condition. The beach is sandy, however, there are rocks on the beach and in the water so either wear water shoes or be careful where you step. The AC in the room was adequate. The food in the buffet was good, no issues with intestinal problems. We also did enjoy the shows in the theater especially the kids on the Fantasia night.

The water in both the sink and tub had a very slow drain and the tub plug was broken off. There is no fan in the bathroom so when you take a shower, it steams up like in a sauna (hence the mold, do they not clean it?) Forget getting a pool chair if you're not out there at 6am reserving it by throwing a towel or flip flops and then not showing up till 11 or so. You don't pay to reserve the chair, so a towel on it does not mean it's yours to use. Who does that? It should be firs
