Wonderful resort

An amazing staff. Pamela, Rosa, Hector, Ronny, Antonia. They go above and beyond to insure the guests are happy. The most beautiful beach. Great food. Beautiful resort.

Words cannot begin to explain the beauty of this resort. It has an unmatched combo of a winding jungle path with wildlife (friendly) leading to a large pool area surrounded by places to eat, drink and relax which offers an incredible view of the beach. There, you will find plenty of lounge chairs that are shaded by numerous palm trees giving it a beautiful tropical island feel unmatched anywhere else. The staff is always smiling, friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay everything that you would expect and more. The food does not feel like the typical mass production you’ll normally find at the large resorts. The choices cover every palette form the standard eat anything type to the gluten free eaters as well as vegetarians and vegans. They really did an impeccable job of satisfying just about anything a person can want. Everything and everywhere you go is spotlessly clean. The rooms and even the common use bathrooms have no smell at all that I’ve found to be an issue almost everywhere else. The room cleaning staff go the extra mile to not disturb anyone while it’s occupied but when they do come in, it goes back to the perfect state it was in when you arrived along with cute touches like folding a towel into an animal figure with beautiful flower petals to add a splash of color. We usually always like to try new places every time we vacation but this place, we will, without a shadow of doubt, return to. It’s really THAT good !!

Beautiful beach

Ok so I don't normally ever write reviews but since I base my travels on others reviews, here go. I was on a budget for this trip so this resort was my best option. Things I liked: 1. Seemed like a couples only resort, it is perfect for getting away with your spouse and having quite intimate time. 2. The beach and grounds are beautiful, though small. Things I didn't like: 1. I thought people who wrote this were just being snobby but, If good food is important to you, do Not come here. The food and drinks are aweful! The mixed drinks are so watered down they don't taste at all like they should. It's really bad, and I'm not normally a drinker. There's only two options for lunch and the buffet was horrendous. Dog food would have been better. I'm being completely honest here. Breakfast was the only good option and you really can't mess that up. 3. Privileged option is ridiculous, you don't really get anything more except an extra restaurant and actually may be worth it if you want to eat there exclusively, but for the extra expense its ridiculous. 4. Service is not that great, no one went out of there way from the beginning. 5. No night life. I'm not a partier so I thought this resort would work but there is absolutely nothing! I like to dance and the dance club is open 3 nights a week and no one goes! My husband and I had the floor to ourselves. All and all we won't be back. Too many other options.

Great Staff!

Hector, Francesca, the activities staff and Phillipe, our snorkel guide helped make our trip wonderful! The Rauxa show was great! Food "okay"...could always find something we liked.

Worth upgrading to the Privilege Option

We stayed at the hotel for 12 nights in April 2018. The overall experience was very good with a great beach location and friendly staff. What really made the difference for us was the Bloved beach restaurant that is only available to privilege option guests. Not only is the beach location stunning but the quality of the food and service from staff in morning lunch or evening services was quite exceptional and certainly worth the difference in price.

BORING

No music allowed during the day at pool or beach Lots of rocks and weeds at beach No activities If you want to sit and read a book in silence this place would be great Drinks very weak or watered down Language barrier is to much, problems asking questions or room service

The hotel main concern is to make you happy and you can tell for the amaizing gest service from all the staff. Definitly I would come back. Rauxa was amaizing as well!!

Nice Adults Only Resort

3rd time and will return!

This was our 3rd time at this resort and we will definitely be back for a 4th! We love how close the beach is to the pool! This resort is smaller than most, so it's a bit quieter...which we like. Only had one restaurant experience this trip that was not great...all other meals were great with great service! Highly recommend Catalonia Royal Tulum!
