Easy check in and perfect for a quick overnight stay while on the road. The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful with setting up a baby bed

Away from the stress
Yad HaShmona is between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. It has wonderful food, warm wood-style rooms, and a welcoming staff. Not too much in the immediate area but we loved it for its convenience to Ben Gurion and it’s peaceful location in the Judea foothills overlooking the Med Sea.

Great service at a nice location. Excellent stay!
I had to check out early so I went to the service desk the night before and let them know. They checked me out that night with the understanding I'd return the key to the night guard. They also volunteered to send me off with a breakfast basket. That arrived to my room about an hour later even though the chef was gone for the day. The basket was filled with a great breakfast that stretched and took care of my lunch meal also. Very pleased; thanks again!

Night at the Yad Hashmona Hotel
We booked one night at the Yad Hashmona Hotel. Check-in was fast and efficient. The room had everything you need for a comfortable stay: a TV with many channels, Wifi, a refrigerator, a kettle, various tea and coffee bags and a fruit plate. There is free parking on site. Breakfast was varied and satisfying. Around the hotel is a biblical garden that recreates life in biblical times. Beautiful and interesting buildings with plants that are well known in the Bible.Check-out was fast and efficient. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Excellent Choice
Yad Hashmona is an excellent choice of stay in the greater Jerusalem area. Its close location allows access to Jerusalem quite easily, Tel Aviv to the east and also good access to the north south main road, Hwy 6. The environment, staff and food are rather uniquely positive. Some of the rooms would be considered quite average 3 star per comfort level. Environment and setting is 4 star.

Great place on Thursdays for the brunch on Friday
We stayed here because we were meeting friends the next morning for the brunch offered here, which is not to be missed! Best brunch in Israel in my opinion. The hotel is nice but not really luxurious. The wooden rooms are reminiscent of Scandinavia but are not super large. There is a nice balcony that looks out over the beautiful scenery of the Judean Hills. The bed (s) were comfortable but like other hotels in Israel, were really two single beds pushed together, not necessarily the best welcome for couples. The room was spotless. The bathroom was okay and had a tub. But taking a shower meant climbing into the tub - the side was pretty high and I think would be challenging for older people or those with limited mobility. I also thought it was a bit offputting that rather than bar soap, small shampoo bottles, etc. there were dispensers near the sink and in the shower/tub. All in all, a very nice place to say if you are interested in what the community has to offer (a nice Biblical garden in addition to the restaurant), but not something I would go out of my way to use again.

i am an Israeli citizen I made a reservation for 126$ including tax. as well as total amount of charge was 126$. The hotel charged me in additional 17% vat 21.42 $ . I tried to ex plain but the reception manager insisted on the additional fee, even though it was not said so (even in the "small letters"). The only "excuse" was that the reservation was done through expedia and they charge the extra fee, though it was not true we used the web Hotel.com!! to my knowledge it should not be that way.

Unique experience
Unique hotel - Finnish decor. Amazing gardens and walkways. Large dining hall with two levels for entertaining. Purchase their meal options - incredible food, variety = healthy and fresh. Several main entrees were available daily, with multiple fresh salads and fruit. Local, European, and continental cuisine - always something for everyone to swoon over. Simple rooms with charm, balconies, and terrific beds - we slept very well. Bathtub drained slow - our only negative observation. By two days, we felt this was our homebase and looked forward to returning back to Yad for meals and rest. Will do this again!

Beautiful views of Jerusalem forests around the hotel and night views allows one to see the lights of Tel-Aviv. Very quiet with excellent friendly Staff. Great parking plenty of space! Good breakfasts available! No complaints. WOULD DEFINITELY COME HERE AGAIN.
