great tourist hotel

If you are planning to visit Yap for a vacation, the Pathways Hotel is an ideal place to stay. Each room is its own little villa, built in traditional "Nipa House" style, with a thatch roof and traditional building materials. The villas are built into the side of a hill and each has a wonderful view of the bay. They all have AC, but no phone or TV. If you have mobility issues, you may need to request a room close to the lobby as there are a lot of stairs to negotiate. All up, The Pathways offers a unique "Yap" experience.
The meals provided by the restaurant are not the best on offer in Colonia and I would recommend finding alternative eating establishments around town (there are plenty on offer). Beds are not so comfortable and if you have a bad back, maybe think about alternative accommodation. Otherwise, a great place to stay.
