Spacious house but little dusty. Pest control is highly recommended as multiple spiders were found around the house. One of our overseas guest got bitten by some insects most propably spiders. Treatment undergoing 😔

A lovely homestead style property consisting of three distinct apartments. Apartment two is on the ground floor. It's three bedrooms would suit a family (or friends on a getaway. It's quite well appointed and a short walk to the main street and its many dining options. Would definitely choose this location again (but we'd stay a bit longer for sure).

3* Stay in Healesville
The hotel got its charm with classic Victorian features. Communal bathrooms were something you had to get used to but people were quite nice so we were lucky. We stayed only for the Saturday night on the way to attend a wedding in Yarra Valley. The hotel had live music on Saturday night so there was quite a bit of noise and only quiet down after midnight. Healesville is a nice place to visit but we will stay at somewhere else next time where it is more child friendly.

Busy weekend in the Yarra Valley with the Stevie Nicks concert. Hotel was busy and managed well, all areas welcoming and comfortable. I must have missed the part about the shared bathroom! As it turned out we were close enough. The only thing was no breakfast.

Old and run down
The room was smallest ever and just accommodated a very small double bed. I'm 5" 6" and my feet were at the bottom. My wife is taller and feet outside bed. Bathroom down corridor, unisex, good shower but flys and spiders everywhere. Room was on top floor and no lift. Hard work for old people with or without luggage. The pigeons above our heads sounded as if they had army boots on. All in all a terrible experience..

Not what we expected
The hotel was advised falsely. Did not advice communal bathrooms. Our room was so small. Had a window/door that opened to the pub where everyone else is drinking. Women didn't feel comfortable with that. Room was clean and bed was okay. Wouldn't stay again unfortunately

Nice hotel, great location
Would recommend. Room was adequate and comfortable. Shared bathroom is well maintained. Little bit noisy from other guests, but not much from the main road.

READ THE SMALL PRINT
We waited at the hotel reception for quite a while, before we were even acknowledged. Our room was fine, clean and the bed looked very comfortable. Unfortunately, there was no ensuite, and the only bathroom facilities were at the end of the corridor. This bathroom was shared by several other bedrooms, plus used by customers at an upstairs bar!

nice weekend destination.
Had a nice time at older hotel. very central to all facilities. warm room being on 3rd floor. bathrooms were clean and acceptable. close drive to all wineries that we wanted to visit. other attractions like gin distillery close. lounge room and kitchen were good also to watch tv or eat breakfast. only saw one other person staying at hotel. plenty of bathrooms and toilets to use. car parking was not an issue either. enjoyable experience.

we were very disappointed
This hotel was booked by accident, I wanted the other hotel but made a mistake, I tried for a refund but no luck. The room appeared clean enough however very small. Tv not working. Went to communal bathroom, dead blowflies everywhere, and I mean everywhere, including the sink, looked in shower, dead Beatles covering base of shower. We couldn't stay, it was discussing! Decided we had to leave. Very disappointed

Amazing room
Excellent hotel, really modern and elegant. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. We thought there might be some trouble with the shower as there are only 2 on the level but we didn't bump into any guests. Would recommend :)

Tidy and comfortable budget accomodation
Rooms were very tidy and comfortable with modern furnishings. Shared bathroom, although very old was clean and secure. Next time I would request the top floor as far away from the stairs though as many young people stay here (given price) and were in and out all through the night and morning. Overall though, central location and very comfortable for a weekend away!

Great location, very friendly staff. It wax exactly what we needed somewhere to stay while we explored the town and surrounding areas. Definitely recommend this hotel. And would stay there again .

You cannot doubt the great location, staff and room cleanliness however it is way overpriced for a room that has no bathroom. We were lucky to have a room opposite a bathroom however had to listen to every guest going to it during the night. The room price needs to reflect the lack of toilets in the rooms.

Didn't expect share bathroom, would not have stayed if realised. Luke warm water and low pressure. TV in room unwatchable due to position on wall. Comfortable bed. Very good food in dining room. Hotel needs a good clean and refurb.

It was nothing like I expected
We were really looking forward to our Healesville stay, however we were in for a rude shock upon checking in. It was nothing like how it was featured in the photos, and at the point of booking, it didnt say anything about a shared bathroom. We were too tired from the long drive, so we decided to just stay the night BUT! it was a bad choice. The bathrooms looked terrible, with weird brown stains on the bath and sink. Water didnt go down the tap, and it was either freezing cold or super hot. Weird hair-like strands were floating up from the sink's trap. It was horrifying! To add, there was water dripping sound the whole night which made it hard to sleep. Please dont ever book this hotel!

They charge In excess of Melbourne CBD prices for a room with zero facilities apart from a TV screen. Not even a chair or table and you have to walk in a freezing corridor to get to the shared bathrooms and toilets. No sink or tea making facilities in the room. I had to ask for the central heating to be turned on at 1730 but there was no appreciable difference at 1930 so we had to go to bed to get warm. No electric blankets. I could go on and on but I am too disgusted.

Lovely Historic Hotel
Lovely room, very comfortable. Layout was a bit inconvenient with kids; no bathroom in room. Staff were lovely and helpful.

Characterful hotel in the centre of town.
We stayed two nights, ate in one night. Absolutely loved the "feel" of the hotel, the staff and the "look" of the rooms. Lovely food at a good price. Clean and bright rooms, with a relaxing lounge and dining area (if you wish to bring your own breakfast). Walking distance to all in the main street of Healesville. Just excellent - would stay again.

Healesville getaway
Friendly welcome Lovely new refurbishment Only challenges were with the 2 remotes - the tv channel and volume buttons were reversed, and tricky to get the heater working so instructions on this would help going forward. All round a great stay

The shared bathroom for 6 rooms was old, dilapidated ,rust stained; water was yellow from old plumbing - disgusting. Room small, had to hang clothes on hooks on the door. Never stay there again.

The hotel itself was good, clean and fresh. The shared bathrooms worked well and were not an issue. The bed was a bit soft for my liking but overall not too bad. The thing that let this hotel down is there were no water glass to get a drink during the stay and probably the main reason for the lower overall score. If we were aware, we would of come prepared.

I placed a booking where all confirmation e-mails and photos showed 'Healesville Garden Accommodation' and expected a reasonable motel-style room with ensuite. Instead, I got a cramped attic room over the pub itself with a shared bathroom down the hall. The windows may as well have been made of paper for all the noise they blocked out. The small token TV in the room was unwatchable unless you were standing against the wall because it was mounted so high and not tilted down towards the bed. The only positive I could give was that the room and shared bathroom were surprisingly clean for that style of accommodation. Too easy to be misled about what room I was actually booking

I had a family room located on the top floor with great room. Although I needed to share bathroom, all bathrooms were in clean condition. I suggested to stay on the top floor if you can request. All the facilities were better than the 1 st floor.

Basic but comfortable
Not a lot of money, clean room and comfortable bed. Bathroom down the hall along with tea and coffee and kitchenettee, area very clean, seperate lounge at other end. We were concerned we migh t get cold, but not an issue as had reverse aif con and fan in room. We would stay again food was excellent, staff were nice. Only issue was a drunk individual that somone shut up at around 11.30pm in the hallway.

The bathroom was extremely disappointing and I didn't shower there as it felt very unhygienic. The bedroom was nice and cosy which we liked and the bed was comfortable which was an added bonus

If I did not have a 3 yo by myself it would have been a lot better. Climbing 3 sets of stair with my grandson and bags detracted from my experience.

Nice hotel in Healesville
I was visiting Healesville for a couple of days and made a booking online through Healesville Garden accommodation expecting it to be garden accommodation. Also I thought I was going to get a double bed but got a single bed room having then to climb up many many steps to the top. I grabbed this accommodation quickly because it was supposed to be a discounted room but when I arrived it was $90 for a single room. The double room that said to be quick was $180 reduced to $90. When I arrived it was booked for single and going price was $90. THIS IS WHAT HAPPNED WHEN I BOOKED ON LINE. The owner of the hotel was lovely.

Central location, walking distance to everything in in town, including gin distillery, pubs and wineries, local shops. Our room was on the main street side which proved a bit noisy as old style doors didnt quiet seal out cold air or noise, but room was warm and bed comfortable. Friendly service for an easy night stay over.

Rubbish!
Booked at Healesville Garden Accomodation or so I thought. Called the owner to see where I'm supposed to park and she said I was going to be staying at the grand hotel, which was around the corner. Was a tiny room which was fine but was a freezing night and there was a gap about a centimeter wide under the window which let in all the cold air. Wasn't happy at all. Shared bathrooms. After a two hour drive wasn't happy to have to travel to another property. Never again

Healesville Garden Accommodation has numerous properties of which the hotel is one of them. Hence our main picture on our listing is the Grand Hotel . Rooms on offer do have shared bathrooms as advertised. They are simple rooms, hence the rate is cheap. On your booking confirmation, it states to check in at the Grand Hotel on 270 Maroondah Highway, Healesville.

The room was small, simple but clean. We were surprised to find we had to share bathrooms with others on the same floor. Bathrooms quite old and worn. We stayed on a week night, main road quite busy. Has the potential to be quite noisy on weekends, as it is a pub.

good place to bunk down
my wife and I stayed for one night, was everything that we needed. Bed and television. Dinner was great in the bistro downstairs, with my wife rating the parma "the best ever". Breakfast in the morning was very good also.
