Nice older style accommodation

Pros: Comfortable lounge with great breakfast. Our spa bath was excellent. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Everything was great except that the only heating was a very noisy reverse cycle air-conditioner.
Location: We were only passing through, but had a nice dinner in Yarra Glen.
We picked this as one of the few Saturday night only places available and were pleasantly surprised.

Quaint lodging in a great location

Beautiful BnB style lodging. The owners were lovely and accommodating. Best free scrambled eggs we've had in a long time! Recommend bringing your own towel if you'll be wearing makeup as they charge for the extra cleaning to remove it. Great location close to the yarra glen hotel, chocolaterie and ice creamery, and all the wineries.

Only there one night but fond the room very small

Lovely area but the Lodge needs a good clean up outside and the room was too small for any more than one night

As the new owners we are working extremely hard on the gardens to bring them to our standards. We have already done a substantial amount of work to just prune the cypress trees back and are now making a healing garden for guests to enjoy. We also have 2 x King rooms and an apartment for those wanting a bit more room.

Quiet, cosy stopover

Yarra Glen is a quiet spot on Friday night. Melba Lodge is warm and welcoming, and the breakfasts were great. Even if it rained or snowed, we would have been happy to sit by the heater in the longe area, reading and browsing the www.

Ideal location for ballooning .

Disappointed a little in lack of clean t towel, breakfast toppings not accompanying breakfast on first day , wi fi not being shared until asked, sofa couch not twin singles .

With the concerns of use of Wifi, we do not give the password out now without our guests signing for it. The sofa couch is state of the art in comfort and as it is in the lounge room we opted for it to look like a lounge room during the day instead of a bedroom. We apologise for our oversight in breakfast as the pantry in the Apartment is usually well stocked with these things.

Cons: Broken spa and lounge/ bar needs air con

We are unable to obtain spare parts for the Spa since we took over as it is too old to repair. We are planning on taking the spa out altogether. There is air conditioning into the bar are which is working perfectly.
