Pullman Beijing South was disappointing. My first room smelled like an airport smoking room. After changing to another room, it didn’t smell much better. Even the hallway had the same smell. The best part of the hotel was its lobby.

Overpriced old hotel, but clean and friendly
The hotel is obviously not more the newest. However, the staff try their best to give you a good impression. But also there are staff members, who rather prefer to disappear from an foreign customer, as to help or approach him. Hotel is convenient located, close to a shopping mall with restaurants. Behind the hotel is a recommendable reasonable Italian restaurant. The hotel Gym need some update too. Also the rooms need to be updated, regarding internet speed and Foreign TV channels (HBO & CNN only, if the weather is good). The bed is used up and it feels like a hammock. A replacement of the bed’s is highly recommended. I’ve had the executive suite (1726). Also the entire rooms need to have a modern makeover, at least for the prices… As for the same price I’ve payed, I had a modern new hotel stay at e.g Shangri-La / Jen hotel or Marriot with better service/food/quality of stay.

Great food at the Pullman Beijing South!
My memories of the Pullman Beijing South are excellent ones. In particular, there was a fantastic buffet lunch on both Saturday and Sunday. My room was clean, staff were most obliging, and the atmosphere great.

Adequate hotel for business. Could use a refresh of the rooms. One of the few hotels to stay in for business south of Beijing (near sixth ring road).

Low architecture decoration, cleaning condition
I am not sure it"s pullman quality. Unbelievable. It seems long time no refurbish the architecture decoration. Death mosquito under glass. Some of dust in bathtub that until 3rd day was cleaned. Oil fill all of the elevator wall. Only a entrance for people who walk. Above conditions decrease expected the location that may suitable for vocation. We are disappointed we were not to choose the Holliday Inn that on opposite.

I am not sure if that is China / Beijing standard, but after 7 years existance of this hotel, the carpet is so full of dust and smell. Not good if you are allergic and have breathing problems.

Disappointing internet access
Excellent breakfast and room cleaniness among all other hotels in the area, but a huge disappointment on the room internet stability and air-conditioning during winter season. Room temperature couldn't go below 26~27 degC at night. Will never return to this hotel unless other hotels in the area are fully booked.

Reasonable overall value. Hotel is tired and needs an overhaul. Positives-great breakfast and restaurant options. Negatives-the gym is huge, cold and unmanned. No water after workout. Major lacking of English spoken. Often forget to replenish supplies in room.

Good business hotel
I would never stay here unless for business reasons - many businesses near by and that was the purpose of my trip, but not really much around in walking distance. The hotel is nice and clean, breakfast is varied and good. WiFi is slow and spotty, and no air conditioning after a certain date. Well it happened to be hot in October, and my room felt like it was 85 degrees, and there was nothing the hotel could do.

Very nice, clean, comfortable place to stay
The hotel rooms were exceptionally nice and offered plenty of room to relax and also work. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a very wide variety of offerings for many tastes. Internet access was sometimes slow and I could not get my AC working but those were reasonably minor issues overall. I would definitely stay there again if I were in that area.

Internet problems
Checked in at around 8:30pm and tried to check my emails. After 4 tries to get on line I want to the front desk and asked if my room had a problem with the WiFi connection. The front desk told me that they did not have WiFi in the hotel. So I picked up a Ethernet cable and tried again to get on line. Still no luck, back to front desk, this time I talked to an assistant manager who came to the room and asked way I was not using the WiFi!!!!! I told him I had been told by his staff that they did not have WiFi and would need to use a cable. After 20 minutes of trying we still did not have a solid connection, it would be there for 2 minutes then drop the connection. The assistant manager said they would change rooms. This never happened. Breakfast was good but over priced for what they had, paid less than half the amount in Shenzhen Best Western.

a beautiful and grand hotel, stunning lobby and features, an excellent start to our trip. pleae not we went to the wrong pullman so make sure to get the right one. clean, pleasnt room, and all the modern features we know to expect. great gym and sauna and swimming area.

Good spot to get to Yizhuang...nothing in Yizhuang
Good hotel for the location, and the crew speaks good English, which is very helpful. I was using this as a base of operations to visit a company HQ is Yizhuang, so it's convenient for that use, but there is still not much in the area in the way of restaurants, shopping, or other comforts...

Stay was comfortable and very convenient for me doing business in the YiZhuang district.Room service menu was a bit limited, so had the same thing twice. But it was good. The facilities are clean and nice.

Overall stay was better compared to last visited in Sep 2012. The ongoing maintenance and services was improved, but it still has room to further improve. Just a bad experience after bath, my toe was hurt by the bathroom slidding door rail. I think it was a design flaw, it should not be that height. Also the basin stopper is not working.

50 minute trip on subway to tiamen square
I enjoyed my stay, the staff were fabulous, as was the room. sadly the pool was not working, but we were busy sight seeing like crazy. I kew this was out of the way, but had no idea that there would be nothing but construction near by. No worries, we eat the great breakfast each day and headed off, when we returned we had eaten in the city before hoping on the subway. Just plan for it, it is a marvelous hotel and the staff could not have been more accomidating, I would stay again, and in a year or so the rest of the neighbourhood will be built!

Great hotel for business, not vacation
The hotel is very new, with very courteous staff. I loved how everyone was polite and smiled at me, I think it really makes a big difference in the quality of the hotel so keep it up! My only complaint is that the hotel location is not good if you want to get to the center of beijing. There is a subway station nearby but it takes around 45 minutes to get to Tiananmen. That was a mistake on my part, but it was great being able to come back to such a clean and beautiful hotel room at the end of the day.

Good hotel, but very isolated
I wanted to stay at a nice hotel and didn't care if it was out of the way since I've been to Beijing several times before and wasn't planning to leave the hotel. This was a great hotel, but it is really out of the way. It's on the southern tip of Beijing and it costed 130 RMB to get to from the airport (something to consider if you're trying to save money). There is very little to do in the area, but the subway isn't too far, so if you do want to go into the city, you can. Just give yourself an hour. The hotel itself and the hotel staff were excellent though.
