Avoid at all cost. Don’t prebook or you’lI lose your money if you experience unexpected train delays. I booked a room here and paid it full before my trip. However I had to cancel my trip due to train disruption (not strike related, it was an unexpected damage to rails), I called them around 11am (my check in was at 4pm the same day) to modify my reservation ( I wanted to cancel my current booking and book for tomorrow) and at first they told me to call them later because they were doing a system update, they didn’t even listened to me and they told me to call them 1 hour later. I called them 1 hour later and they told me to call them a few hours later. I call them for the third time and I explained that my situation was urgent they told me that they couldn’t do anything because I booked via 3rd (a well know hotel booking app) party which is fair. The company I used contacted Hilton York and they denied my request for a refund. They didn’t even do a partially refund.
