Pros: Close to my event and easy to locate.
The front desk staff was not super friendly upon check in. The only issue we had was our room had a weird odor to it. Other than that our stay was fine.

Pros: Cost, and convenience to where I needed to be.
This was my second stay at this hotel. The first time was in August, 2014, and I had repeated problems with the air conditioner. This time, when we checked in I noticed the door knob on the bathroom door had nearly fallen out of the door. I told the front desk, but since it was about 4;30 PM, it couldn't be fixed until the next day. Lucky to be able to use the door at all. Also, while the rooms do a very good job of keeping out noise from the hallway, the same cannot be said about noise from adjoining rooms. And I mean just normal conversation level, not shouting. Finally, the desk clerks I dealt with knew virtually nothing about the area, availability of local newspapers, etc. I will not use this hotel again.

Unfriendly

Check in clerk and check clerk were both very unfriendly. Almost as if I were an inconvenience to them. Room appeared clean--- As I was blow drying my hair shortly before leaving there was a cockroach crawling near my door.

We never want you to feel as if you aren't welcome here at Super 8 Yorkville-you are! We have pest control in monthly to prevent issues, we will have them pay close attention to that area.

Our stay was pleasant. It was more like a Low 3 or high 2 star level hotel. Very satisfied for the price.

Decent and expected for the price

Overall this place was fine, and typical of what you'd expect for an economy hotel. Room smelled a little stale, but cleared up once the a/c got going. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Good breakfast.

Handicapped accessible.

I had a knee brace and I was on the 1st floor close to the entry door. That helped me quite a bit.
