Winter StayPosted Jan 26, 2016
Our receptionist was a bit sarcastic explainning the differences between the tents...I did not like that about the friendliness of the place...the tent has a big sign inside regarding mice or whatever rodent that lives in the area apparently rats can go inside the tent...disturbing! I did my research before staying here so I was aware of the experience I was getting into...you get what you pay for. Overall staff can do a lot better...

Exactly what it promisedPosted Jan 6, 2016
Pros: It is very close to most hiking routes. It is in the middle of the park and surrounded by nature.
Cons: Better blankets, but considering its a tent, you really can't ask for much.
Location: Very close to were most hikes start. It is well connected to the rest of the park via the free shuttles.
The tent was clean and the heater perfectly. It made a huge difference having a heated tent on the cold winter night. It was exactly what we imagined the tent would be. It would have been better if we would have used our own sleeping bags, but nonetheless we had a comfortable night sleep.

Great Yosemite Camping Experience.Posted Jan 1, 2016
Pros: The scenery its surrounded by & the unique accommodation opportunity it offered.
Cons: Some of the blankets seem a little too small & thin so these could be replaced.
Location: Enjoy the scenery all year round, beautiful covered in snow & the walking trails, the shuttle bus makes it very easy to explore the park.
We had a great time at Yosemite & camping overnight in the heated tent while the area was covered in Snow is something that we will always remember.

Great place for a wintertime visit with kidsPosted Dec 22, 2015
Pros: The staff keeps the bathrooms nice and clean.
Cons: The food at the Curry Village Lodge--it's industrial-scale tourism, I know, but still, stuff could have been fresher and tastier.
Bring a sleeping bag--we needed 'em to keep warm with nighttime temperatures in the high 20s. It was really nice to let the kids out the door to play without having to accompany them outside, as we would in a hotel. There's so much to enjoy, even on mostly rainy days. We loved ice skating and Sunday brunch at the Ahwahnee, then some time playing in dry, fluffy snow as we drove through Crane Flat on our way out.

Bathrooms need to be a little more centrally located for all rooms and the campground could be lighted with low lying solar spot lights.

Heated TentPosted Nov 8, 2015
It is exactly what it is, a heated tent. We missed out on the cabins due to limited occupancy around the time we went, so this was our fall back option as we wanted to stay in the Valley. Being from Australia we weren't sure what to expect, but ended up exceeding expectations and enjoyed the 'glamping' style accommodation. There was a safe in the tent, so able to lock all our valuables in there. It is communal toilets and showers, but it worked fine. There is supermarket, cafe and pizza stores onsite so, everything you need is there. The bear locker was an interesting experience, but totally fine. In terms of location, it is perfect to be able to get to each and every hike in the Valley. Hands down go, Yosemite is the most amazing place.
