Here in Yosemite West, you'll enjoy fantastic access to Badger Pass Ski Area (seven miles), Wawona (13 miles), Yosemite Village (17 miles), and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias (20 miles), with the town of Oakhurst and Bass Lake nearby as well.

THINGS TO KNOW
There are roughly 60+ steps to get up or down from the house to the parking spot, plus an additional flight of stairs to get to the unit on the second floor.
The satellite WiFi is not the best in the park due to being located in the mountains.

Parking notes: Only one parking spot.

Snowstorm weekend
We were snug and cozy-nice little cabin. Snowstorms made going from the parking spot to the cabin a challenge, ok for tallish grownups but would have been very hard for children or shorter individuals. We were "post-holing" on the portions between the stair flights, and the snow went up midway to my upper thigh (I'm 5"11"). Roads were plowed promptly, but it was a high-stress weather weekend for driving and seeing the park, and those stairs were not easy.

Good Space for a Couple
The unit was clean and had a decent amount of space for the two of us. Although there is a sofa bed, it would be tight for 4. The apartment was clean and had plenty of towels. I did had to notify the management company of several issues when we arrived including the bathtub faucet had a constant drip; the bottom of the kitchen sink is discolored black and the exterior light at the front door doesn’t work. None of the items required immediate repair and we were able to enjoy our 4 night stay.

Some bad, some good
It was a nice property, but various parts of it were in disrepair (a loose step, a leaking freezer, a missing TV cable, and more), and it definitely should have been stocked with facial tissues (Kleenex). On the wish list would have been a) internet wi-fi that was strong enough to use streaming services, and b) a trash bin that wasn't so far away. It was otherwise a nice place and the kitchen was well-stocked with supplies. Thanks!

Love this location, would stay here again
Great location, clean and comfortable, perfect for a couple or small family. The house is about 3 flights of brick stairs down from the parking spot. Beautiful views, saw a deer right outside the window within an hour of arriving. Pleasantly surprised with WiFi, TV, and even a little cell (Verizon) reception. No issues with power outages and the temperature was pleasant with windows open in early June. Appreciated previous review about not being stocked with coffee so we brought our own. Communication with Vacasa could be better: slow to respond if at all on various numbers/platforms, they could not answer my question about how to bypass a day use reservation for the park (I just printed my VRBO confirmation and the ranger station accepted that, best to make sure your name is on your reservation printout), and I did not get the house entry instructions until about 8:30am the morning of which can be precarious with very spotty service in/around the park (would have been better to get entry code a couple days before). Overall and especially now knowing what to expect, I'd definitely stay here again if the price is right.
