Fire place suitePosted Nov 28, 2015
After 9 hour drive through a blizzard the hotel upgraded our room- free of charge- to one of the greatest hotel suites I have yet to stay in. The bed was over the top fantastic, and the large bathroom with heated floors was a plus. Pool and mini golf were closed due to the weather, but the hot tub picked up the slack. Massages and spa treatments were a bit over priced, but nice experience. Overall, I'll be coming back.

Perfect for our visitPosted Nov 25, 2015
Pros: Amenities, style, location, hot tub
The hotel was comfortable and close to everything. The room was clean and looked recently remodeled. The bathroom was big and nicely done, plenty of room for gear and clothes. Of course, my bed was comfortable and my son's wasn't - I believe that is just a matter of preference.

lovely cosy hotelPosted Nov 5, 2015
Location: The Breakfast Club near the fuel station around the corner was lovely - great food, friendly staff & recommended some lovely hikes for us to do.
We got a free a upgrade to a beautiful room with a huge comfy bed, fire, kitchenette and amazing bathroom. Would definitely recommend staying here, lovely staff and stay. The hot tub was a little shabby, but still great to relax in.

Great location, great roomPosted Oct 29, 2015
Pros: Location, price point, updated, lighting, fireplace, room comfort.
Location: Very close to shopping and restaurants. Maybe a bit far for skiing.
After a 10 hour drive we were glad to arrive at the hotel. Check in was easy and they upgraded us to a large room with a fireplace. The hotel room had a kitchenette, an eating area and a desk area. The fireplace was the icing on the cake. The bathroom had been updated and the bathroom lighting was better then most hotels I have stayed in.

Great hotel in the heart of townPosted Oct 15, 2015
Pros: Great lobby. We loved the pool table & the complimentary coffee and hot cocoa. I loved the decor. Our chalet was spacious and beautiful.
Cons: The bed was not that great. It was lopsided and uncomfortable.
Location: Close to restaurants, shopping, in the center of town.
We stayed at the Sierra Nevada Resort during the low season so it was quiet and pleasant. The young woman at the front desk upgraded our room so that we could stay in one of their larger chalets. It was very nicely decorated, felt like a nice mountain cabin, was very spacious and had everything we could have needed.

Great suites!Posted Oct 10, 2015
Pros: The size and comfort of our room....the art in the rooms - not your typical hotel room.
Cons: Perhaps host the folks leaving on the buses in the rooms where the buses park in the morning.
Location: Loved exploring the Mammoth Mountain ski area as well as visiting June Lake. It's a distance from Yosemite but we did visit it three times!
Our check-in was wonderful with the help of Brittany! She was energetic, friendly and happy to share ideas of 'what to do' in the area. We loved the 'king bed suite'.....very convenient when traveling to have a small kitchen with frig, dishes, stove top, and microwave. Comfortable bed and wonderful bathroom shower...heated toilet seat also a plus! After two nights of touring and visiting Yosemite, we decided to stay another two nights and Daniel was very helpful in making this the right choice for us. Convenient location for shopping, restaurants and the mountain! Tip - I do recommend asking to not be in a room over the doorways where the buses load and unload -- they leave at 7:00 in the morning and can be loud if you have the windows open.

We had wonderful time in this hotel. We are sorry that we stayed only one night and not more. It has great location for visiting Yosemite park and death valley park.

Nice hotel with awesome lobby!Posted Sep 17, 2015
Pros: The lobby and fire at night were wonderful. Free tea, coffee and water in lobby and free bottled water in gym.
Cons: Some of the staff could have been more helpful.
Location: Yosemite (it's 2.5 hours away though!). There are hot springs about a 20 minute drive away which was a great experience!
We loved the lobby of the Sierra Nevada hotel! The rooms were quite dark and quite simple really but very sufficient and comfortable, we were very pleased with them. The hotel is very spread out so if you're staying by the lobby and planning to walk to the spa or the gym then you're in for a bit of a hike ;p I loved the lobby though and after an evening hiking in Yosemite, sitting in front of the fire with a good book was wonderful! The staff I encountered were half and half. The lady that checked us in was lovely and so helpful recommending some hot springs nearby that we could see. I also encountered another great guy on the front desk. However the other two women I asked for directions or advice from at the front desk didn't appear like they were going out of their way to be helpful. I wanted to do laundry but didn't have enough change so went to get some but they were out of change at the desk but the lady made no effort to help. When I returned a bit later, another lady on the front desk was brilliant and gave me change out of her own purse. We had dinner at the Greek restaurant one night and while it was an incredible looking restaurant with great ambience, the food was very average. And it was pretty pricey. All in all, a great place to stay if you're in the area. Note that it is a 2.5 hour drive from Yosemite if that is your purpose for visiting!

Nice place to stayPosted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: The little spots to chat by a fire.
Cons: It would be nice if the hotel offered at least something in the way of a complimentary breakfast.
Location: Good restaurants.
We enjoyed staying a the Sierra Nevada Resort and Spa. It's a comfortable spot in the middle of a shopping area near good restaurants, etc.

Eh, it did the jobPosted Sep 1, 2015
Staff pleasant enough, bed too soft and caused back pain, but that's a personal preference. Toiletries never replenished the next day. Cable wasn't working properly, staff states maintenance was supposed to take care of it in the morning, was never fixed, called again in the evening and they said they'd follow up with maintenance, did state they could move us to another room, but never followed up with anything. Seemed like they didn't really care that much about issues had with the hotel room. Also, hot tub was more like a warm bath.
