Beautiful setting, but chilly room

Friendly staff, good food, beautiful facility, but the heater in our room malfunctioned three times during our 3 night stay. We called maintenence twice and it was fixed temporarily, only to go off again. As it was 24 degrees at night outside, it made for a chilly experience. No offer was made to move us to another room. In addition, there are extra charges for practically everything (WiFi is included for $15 per night, but it is slow and a faster option is another $10 per day) and the restaurant prices are steep. However, portions are large so splitting one meal was more than enough. The indoor pool was so heavily chlorinated we didn't go in it. Massages in the spa were nice.

one night stunt to Yosemite

Pros: Location, Rooms, Indoor Pool
Cons: Leaks, food quality and prices
Location: Just at the entrance of Yosemite Park, great base if you just want to jump to the park early.
Good: location, rooms are awesome, fridge in room, indoor pool for the winter, ice rink on site, quick check-in, Dog friendly, beautiful lobby decorated for Christmas. Bad: Expensive and under average food - think 3x the real price, restaurant attention was poor. Building has leaks, and they were addressing them with buckets. Bottom line: did it once, may stay again for the right price, absolutely not paying such high prices for food.

Excellent choice for our visit to Yosemite!

Pros: Beautiful, comfortable, convenient, friendly.
Perfect choice for a visit to the beautiful park. My son and I enjoyed everything that Tanaya has to offer! The Christmas tree was such great to enjoy while sitting in the beautiful lobby. We took a glass of wine, and sat by the warm fireplace meeting other great travelers. The dining room breakfast was yummy, and the firepits wonderful conversation areas. The staff was attentive to any need, always ready with a ride to our room. Staying in the cabins (Oak) was especially enjoyable, space and our own fireplace. I highly recommend Tanaya and would stay again!

The hotel is itself very nice. Although many families stay here and the walls in the rooms are very thin. We could hear clearly what was being said in the rooms next to us.

Staffs were kind and the facilities were great. One thing that I didn't like about this hotel is that they made a mistake regarding holding advance deposits. They held a deposit (100 dollars) when I checked in, but I found out that they held additional deposit two days after my check-in (216 dollars). I asked about the second deposit holding, and they said it is the amount that they should have charged Expedia. (They mistakenly charged my account) They promised that they would adjust my account right away, but, even after three days, it has not been adjusted yet. It still remains in my account. Not a good experience.

We stayed in one of the cottages. It was somewhat isolated and very quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the leaves fall, and the short walk to the lodge. If you don't want to walk, they will drive you back and forth. Everything you need is located at the lodge, so there is no reason to leave. Less than an hour drive to Yosemite Valley floor with beautiful sites along the way.

A Great Stay just a few miles from Yosemite!

We stayed in the cottages and the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, you are given 2 free bottles of water a day, and the hotel staff were nice folks! The lodge's workout facilities were good and I'd def want to stay here again!

Disappointing.

My wife and I stayed in the cottages, which is not connected to the hotel and is about a 5 minute walk. The walls were thin, and every time a toilet was flushed in the next room we could hear it through the walls. We couldn't hear talking, but we could here walking and the opening of the doors. They provide you with robes to wear in the room during your stay and after putting it on my wife realized there was toothpaste on her robe, which she wasn't wearing when she brushed her teeth. It was disgusting that they don't wash them after every use. The bed was extremely stiff. I woke up every morning with back and neck aches. We also decided to try archery while we were there. It is $12 a person for 30 minutes. They only had enough arrows for 2 people, which was fine for us, until another couple came, so they cut our archery short by 10 minutes. As I was checking out, I let the front desk know about these issues and we got one of the $12 archery lessons refunded. I do not recommend this place.

I have spoken to the department in regards to the robe issue and they have taken steps to make sure that no robes are missed in daily cleanings. I apologize that this was not the case in the instance. Also, the activities department is researching where the missing arrows are.
