We loved everything about this place! The service was excellent. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and very close to the south entrance of Yosemite park.

Staff was excellent: Michelle, the massage therapist went far beyond her scope to help me. Only meal was breakfast. Food seemed all fluff and no substance. I have better quality food and better prepared in my local waffle shop: too much into overhead and not enough into what was on my plate in in my glass. At several hundred dollars + for the room I think they might have offered better breakfast items.

A place to unwind after driving in the valley

Posted May 20, 2017
Pros: The pool and Jacuzzi . Nice to sit by the fire and read the paper.
Cons: The bed comfort and room temp. The lodge is a bit overpriced overall.
We were greeted by the staff when we pulled up to entrance. Beautiful lodge with cozy, outdoorsy feel.

Lance was extremely helpful! We had a great guide on the flashlight hike! The archery instructor was phenomenal! We will definitely go back there!

Good location near to Yosemite National Park

Posted May 10, 2017
We stayed at the lodge as part of our honeymoon trip visiting Yosemite. The room was spacious and clean, and the lodge was well located near to the Park entrance, with some good local walks too. The restaurants at the lodge were average/good, but it's a bit of a drive to anywhere else. We found some better places to eat at Bass Lake (~30 min drive).

Nice resort but exorbitant food prices

Posted May 10, 2017
Pros: Very nice staff, comfortable bed.
Location: Yosemite about 1 hr to the valley.
We were happy with our stay except for one thing- the food prices were ridiculous! There is no where affordable to eat on the property. Places in the park or in Oakhurst were much more reasonable but who wants to drive that far. The resort marked food up so they probably had an 8% food cost.

Hi Traveler, Thank you for your feedback. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay overall and am sorry that you felt the food prices were not desirable. We have aligned our food and beverage prices with other four diamond resorts in the area. I thank you again for your comments and hope that you will consider a return visit in the future. Thank you,

We enjoyed our stay at Tenaya Lodge.

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: The setting, the fire pits, and general ambience of the hotel
Cons: As we wrote above, we found both of the restaurants to be over-priced. The same meals were much cheaper at The Majestic Hotel.
Location: Great all day-tour of Yosemite ~ recommended by Tenaya's concierge. We drove into the park ourselves several time.
We enjoyed our stay at Tenaya Lodge. The staff was efficient and friendly. The concierge was very helpful as we planned a full-day Yosemite tour and local day trips. Our room was clean and comfortable. One negative was that both restaurants at Tenaya Lodge were so expensive. Meals were much less expensive at The Majestic/Ahwanhee Hotel.

No Sleep

Posted May 8, 2017
Cons: The insulation...
Location: The pizzeria I would give a 5 out of 10, because when you try to get a bite all of the toppings slide right off. It seriously never fails.
The walls are super thin... I advise a room on a separate wing from the lobby. Wasn't even near the lobby, butt that didn't stop me from hearing everything outside my door or in surrounding rooms. The second night was the worst with the wedding they were hosting, which had ally of guests. These guests continued to scream well into the night finally ending with a girl screaming at her boyfriend saying "I'm driving home", and him continuing to repeat the same phrase "baby no". I called the desk and the employee was not even respectful to even offer out a "we are so sorry for the inconvenience"... Next day checkout and someone had charged their dinner on my bill that I had to fix, which I hope their food was good because ours was mediocre at best. Will not stay here again. All the food places are in oakhurst anyways, 9 miles down the road.

Nice woodsy resort with all amenities

Posted May 4, 2017
Pros: Like the woodsy atmosphere; concierge offered good suggestions; Very nice hot tub felt good after a hard day of hiking
Cons: Be warned that this location is 1 hr drive to Yosemite Valley along very windy roads; Limited eating options and very expensive!!
Location: Sugar Pine Mountain Railroad is fun and very close
Overall experience was good. If I ever go back to Yosemite would opt to stay closer to Valley; The (2) hour roundtrip drive along windy roads everyday was annoying!!
