Nice place and close to lake and good food

Posted May 20, 2017
Pros: most everything nice homey and comfortable
Cons: put dish towels in the kitchen of the cabins
Location: Great location and enjoyed our time very much
We had a great surprise in our cabins and were quite pleased. The Deucy's restaurant was a disappointment. The Mexican food place was absolutely outstanding. A lovelhy yummy experience.

Nice location, food and drink available

Posted May 8, 2017
Pros: Location, food
Cons: Better beds, less all night parties
Location: Lake has boating and fishing.
Location was nice; lake setting was pleasant. Hotel lobby looks great but the rooms are a little tired. Suite rooms are that in name only; it's all standard rooms as far as I could tell. And Beware! The 'sofa bed' was the thinnest mattress in the world, like sleeping on a thick blanket with springs! Hotel had a 'quiet time' policy that was NOT enforced and, as this is somewhat of a teen hangout, the place was super noisy until about 2am. Food on site was really good and prices were reasonable.

Noisy, felt dirty.

Posted May 4, 2017
I travel for work a lot. Stay in hotels around 200 nights a year. This was a vacation for my family and this place felt dirty. The drain for the shower didn't drain. The room felt really dirty. Like a motel 6 in the bad area of town. Had to check the room very week for bed bugs because just felt like that. But I didn't find any. Around 2 am some kids came and knocked on our window hard and ran. Woke up my 4 year old. Scared her. I'm sure the staff called security when I called them. The staff was nice. The second night, the room next door was having a meeting at 11pm and I could hear everything. I mean I can hear the conversation. The walls are paper thin. I didn't enjoy this stay at all.

Great Stay at The Pines

Posted May 2, 2017
Pros: Great, scenic location with surprisingly good, comfortable room... nicely furnished with everything needed for a great overnight stay. Great store.
Cons: Nothing that I could see.
Location: Lots of activities available.
Clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet room / chalet. We had a great breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the lake. Staff was superb.

Good option in an strategic location.

Posted Apr 15, 2017
We enjoyed our stay with my wife and baby on this lake side located chalets. The reason why we chose it was because it is half way between Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, so we could visit both an stay in one place. 1.5 hr to Yosemite Village and little more than 2 hr to Sequoia with a beatiful Bass Lake surroundings. The chalet was new, the kitchen very well supplied making it possible to enjoy the cabin instead of going out for dinner every day. The restaurant though Ducey's is very good but check the prices first. The only thing that I wish is that there was more information on the activities nearby. We had a couple of days of bad wheather and did not know exactly what the options were nearby. Hope it helps!

Very Nice Stay

Posted Apr 11, 2017
We rented a chalet for a week for a spring break trip. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The resort was very nice overall. The only criticism I have is that the laundry facilities were in need of cleaning. This is a great place and perfect for a place to stay when visiting Yosemite. We would definitely recommend it to others and would absolutely stay again.

Sweet cozy dream cabine for 2 families NO INTERNET

Posted Apr 10, 2017
Pros: cleanness, environment, condition.
Cons: The internet
Location: supermarket, angel falls, hiking.
It would be great if there are 2 families go together. There are an Attic where can fit 3 kids can stay in their sleeping bag. a sofa, an roll bed, & 2 queen size beds. Price are great. It is about 30 minutes drive from Yosemite. You should purchase food from the market next to the check in. Kitchen are great too. Things not that fit so many people is a small bathroom. If you don't need to be cheap for the money, you can order 2 of these cabines for 2 families which they can be connected. The ONLY THING I canNOT accept during my stay was the internet. There are strong signal, but just not able to connect to internet. When I ask the front desk, they are just saying, you can come to the front desk to use internet if poor signal. The next morning person said was the serve down. But still has no internet. Well, FIX IT! instead of not letting us know what was going on.

Thank you Karen for taking the time to leave us a review. You are correct that our chalet cabins would be comfortable with 2 families traveling together as they are duplex chalets. We apologize that the internet was down during your stay and have been working very hard to make the necessary improvements.

Lake cabin

Posted Mar 19, 2017
It's 5 miles from the city . The hot tub was not working when I was there but overall it's a really good place to stay at again . Kid friendly and they have a bascketball court and tennis court which I wish I would have known for the kids so we could have brought are basically basketball. Beautiful lake cabin . It's like hour away from Yosemite.

Great location!

Posted Mar 18, 2017
Pros: Proximity to Bass Lake, in beautiful natural surroundings. We had a great marina and lake view (costs more but worth it if you can afford)
Location: Rent a boat on the lake. Visit the little store if you need supplies. Yosemite is a long drive to valley floor but a must do. Good Mexican place near.
I went to this hotel twice in recent weeks. It didn't seem quite as friendly and welcoming as my previous hotels in Fresno and Oakhurst, but staff were helpful when I had questions. Basically it is a great set-up for a vacation and we were sorry we didn't get more time there. If not too hot, try for a chalet with fireplace - that was special and romantic and relaxing.
