“Small town, older motel. It had what we needed but it may not work for everyone. Spent one night before flying out. Might be wise to stay closer to the international airport as the highways can be congested. ”

“Oh boy...I greatly dislike writing negative reviews. While Chemainus is adorable, the location is fantastic and the exterior is a dream...this aint it. Mouldy drapes, a number of amenities were broken (electric fireplace, mouldy fridge), no wifi, questionably clean bedsheets. And (I have photos as proof) a white substance residue left on the counter next to the bed. I will say that the indoor jet tub was amazing! I swear I heard a cough below us at one point and noticed a little door that looked……

“The place was clean! A bright, simple room, one queen bed, a window to the street, bathrooms close by across the hall. There's a roomy kitchen-living-relaxing space, fridges, free tea and coffee (the manager, John, makes a pot in the morning.) The location was excellent--right on the corner of Bastion and Commercial street, giving you walkable access to all the main attractions of Nanaimo. You can tell the place is cared for--houseplants are watered, no dying philodendrons malingering in the……

“I’ve stayed here a few times, and the staff have always been kind and helpful! We got the standard 2 queen beds, the room is spotless, the beds are comfortable and there’s great wifi and cable! The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need for some home cooking while you’re away! The motel is super close to many amenities (great Indian spot near by.) I always choose to stay here while I’m travelling!”
