They gave our room to another customer after confirming that we would be arriving between 1 and 2 am hours before check in. They insisted we did not have a reservation despite my credit card charges and email confirmations and refused a refund. Do not recommend.

Good overnight stay
Good motel. Clean, quiet, spacious. Standard amenities of in room coffee, microwave & fridge. Decent cable/satellite TV selection. Limited continental breakfast in lobby starting at 6:30 AM. Good price.

It is in serious need of updates and new cleaning crew. Floors were not cleaned. If we hadn’t been so tired and it was too late to cancel our reservation. I would had found another place to stay.

Old with charm and gaps.
It’s an old motel and we didn’t know what to expect? I booked it in January after reading some reviews on the internet and thought why not? It turned out to be a great stay, I will say that it’s old so don’t expect the ritz lol there are gaps between the door it’s small and has an old smell but it was a nice stop,I don’t think we will ever be back that way? But if we are then we will stay again.
The tile in the shower stall was amazing!

When we arrived at the motel at about 1145pm, after a long day of driving, we thought the day was over. The bar across the street was extremely loud, as we're a handful of the guests in the motel, outside of their rooms. This was supposed to be a pet friendly motel, and that is what we reserved. But when we got there, the staff person was all but against our small dog in the room, and said if there was ANY evidence that an animal was in or on the bed they would charge us a portion of the $500 pet deposit along with the $25 fee that was already paid. It DID NOT FEEL very pet friendly. I requested a refund of my charges and we started calling around to other motels in Yreka at midnight to find a room at a much higher rate, without ever seeing the room. I would Not recommend this motel to anyone traveling through Yreka, especially on a weekend and with a pet. Not even someone I didn't like and wanted to steer wrong, and deliberately give a bad recommendation to.

Positives-Staff was very polite. Bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. Cons-Not pet-friendly. This may be misdirected, but when I arrived with my dog to check in I was told that they weren't a pet-friendly hotel. I explained that in my search I specifically created a criteria to only give me options of lodgings that were pet friendly. That was the main reason I chose to stay there. I was charged additionally and told not to allow my dog on the bed. So pet owners, beware.

If you're booking this because it says it has a fitness center. Dont. They don't have one even though Hotels.com says there is one. Overall, it wasn't terrible for the price but we wouldn't have booked it if we had known it didn't have a fitness center.

She went and gave us a dog room after saying she had none and told us it wasnt a dog room. There were dog scratches on the door from a large dog. It smelled of cigarettes. Bath and shower were moldy. Cigarette burn through sheet on bed in a non smoking room!? Plug behind bed is fire hazzard. Pet freindly. Not! No where to ealk a dog except a gravel parking lot for resturant next door. Body wash in shower was half used. Will not be back!

Property was fine, we arrived at 11:00 at night while traveling through California on vacation, upon arrival I informed the manager that we were going to sleep for a few hours and leave around 5am. Slept good, got up left the room keys on the desk in the room and we left to get on the road again. That evening we realized that we had left a suitcase in our room and called to make sure that the motel staff had found it. They said they had it and that we had to pay for another night because they couldn’t rent the room out because we could come back and stay another day because we didn’t go to the office before we left.

I won't stay at the Econo Lodge in Yreka again
I stayed 2 nights and the room wasn't cleaned when I returned to stay the 2nd night. When I checked in the front office wasn't terribly friendly and couldn't answer simple questions such as when my room would be ready.

The room reeked of bleach. We had to keep the door and windows open. Went to the store for fabreze and blankets. Though I have no idea why. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. There was pooped caked on the inside walls of the toilet. The floors in the room we're filthy. I browned a white wash cloth washing my feet. I was too afraid to get in the shower. We had less than half a roll of TP to share between us. We bought the blankets to sleep on because we had no idea the condition of the sheets. Most horrible place to stay. Shouldn't be on Hotels.com

Run-down extremely filthy rooms. Did not dare remove shoes. Mould in the shower. No evidence of covit precautions. Noisy guests partying at 2:30 am with room door wide open. The only reason I felt save in this dump was because I was travelling with a Rottweiler.

A broken and disappointing stay
It took 20 minutes to check us in despite being the only people in there. Just outside our room, there was a group of 6 employees drinking beer and sitting on the stairs watching a soccer game on a television they had dragged out of one of the rooms. That lasted from when we got there (around 6) to 10pm. Road noise and general sound from neighboring rooms was bad. The back panel of the television remote kept falling off and was broken. One of the bathroom lightbulbs was broken. The shower door was broken and you had to heavily lift upwards on the handle to get it to move. A smoke alarm low battery chirp interval could be heard the entire time we were there, all day and night.
