Rudeness

Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: it had a cool pool
Cons: more professional staff that takes their job seriously.
While we were there, our toilet paper was torn and hadn't been folded, the coffee in the room had already been opened, and the staff tried to get us out of our room over an hour before a previously discussed time.

The hotel off the Highway for a quick night's stay

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: The location from the highway.
Cons: More attentive staff. Indicating there is no elevator in the building prior to booking the room. Maintenance available at nights.
Location: It's located near a starbucks and McDonalds among other fast food chains. The town seems nice enough, but very small.
My boyfriend and I were relocating from Seattle to Cali, got tired along the way, and decided to stop for a night's rest. Most of the hotels are this area were full due to the Shakespeare Festival, and this was one of the ones we found with available room (shocker). For starters, it's a 2 story building with no elevator. The front desk staff eluded to the parking lot not being the safest so we decided to unload the car. The parking lot was dark and we saw some shady characters circling the lot a few times. After I checked in, they informed me they had no elevator and our room was on the second floor. As you can imagine, I was annoyed. I asked us to move us to a downstairs room. They said they only have a handicap room left and needed to leave it in case there was handicapped who checked in. FYI, I checked in at 11pm. So we upload our car for the next 30ish minutes tracking up and down 2 stair cases. Next thing to go wrong was a flooded bathroom from the toilet. Their offer to fix it was giving us extra towels and using a bathroom in another room that had been left dirty from housekeeping. We said no to both offers and the front desk woman ereplied that she was the only person working that evening so it would take her a while to get up stair and check it out. She plumbed it, cleaned it, and left towels on the wet carpet. Breakfast was bleh. Staff walked in and out to ask if we were done 30 min before its over and snuck food along the way. Then stood around chatting.

Fairly good facility but bad management

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Cons: need one more ice machine.
Polite staff. But no ice vending machine in the 2nd floor and only one in down stair. No ice because of not enough capacity. The room was clean but the phone, clock and head lamp remained unplugged and I had to fix it by myself. No-cleaned corridor in 2nd floor.

Ok for one night, if it's your only option.

Door to get into the hotel was broken, so it was propped open with a rock. Not safe! Room was really small. Bathroom was really small. The beakfast was standard bagels, muffins, cereal, carbs, carbs, carbs.

They don't change bedding between guests

Posted Jul 14, 2015
After getting to room pulled back blanket and found prior guest's shorts between sheets. Obviously they didn't change linens after the prior guest. Disgusting

Pros: Excellent breakfast and pool and spa
Cons: friendlier staff, they didn't smile, were not rude just very matter of fact. Also need fans in bathrooms due to there not being a window
Location: NOTHING
We stayed two nights but only one at a time. Our first room had a graham cracker stuck in the A/C vent but the rest of the room and hotel seemed clean. It was pricey just to show up so I would book online again.

Perfect for a quick overnight stop

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Needed someplace in Yreka to stay overnight on a three day road trip with my daughter and grandson. Got a nice, clean, fairly quiet room with good quality toiletries. Daughter and grandson enjoyed the complementary breakfast. Richard, at the front desk, could not have been more personable. Our room was on the west side of the building. We really appreciated that the air conditioner was running and set at a reasonable temperature. We didn't have to wait for the room to get comfortable. This was VERY much appreciated as the outside temperature was over 100.
