Here’s the deal on the Jefferson Inn in Yreka
The motel has both short and long-term occupants and the units are quite dated as well as not being very clean. The continental breakfast is lightly stocked and not available if the front desk person is not at the desk.

The bathroom was clean but black mold on the grout in Bathroom tub area, and small chunk of wall surface in Bathroom broken loose from wall. TV remote hard to use. Residents out front having conversations till 10:00. Friendly management and guests

Good stay at Jefferson Inn
Our stay at Jefferson Inn was glorious. What a lovely woman who helped us check in. When I pass through next I’ll find a room here again.

It is old and showed signs of wear there not a garbage can in room. Not very safe feeling.

Hard bed and small pillows. Only one washcloth. Parking area inaccessible to any car with a carrier on top. AC either made the room extremely cold, or when it was off, very warm and the controls were difficult to determine how they worked. This was after the crazy meth-head lady accosted us while we were moving out stuff into the room. Wouldn't really recommend it.

Overnight on the road
The Inn is an older building in great need of refurbishment. The shower was unusable, imho. However, the bed was very comfortable and that was the most important thing for our overnight stay.

The bed spread had some sort of crusty splotch on it, there was dried blood on the hair dryer cord and the shower drain took about 30 minutes to drain after a shower.

Friendly check-in. Due to COVID, the continental breakfast was cancelled, but they provided a bag with some substitutes as well as a bottle of water and one of OJ. Quiet and pleasant stay. Pretty town.

New owners without a clue. Stayed here 4-5 times a year for last 11 yrs no problem. Made res. through expedia per directions from female owner when we called. After res. confirmed we called motel to reserve a pet room. Female owner said yes I have res. and would hold pet room. When we arrived the female owner saw or dog and went and got male owner. He claimed because we made res. through exedia there can be no pet! WE CALLED AFTER WE MADE RESERVATION TO CONFIRM A PET ROOM. THE FEMALE OWNER CONFIRMED ON THE PHONE! The male owner claimed no room because of exepdia. We had to find another hotel. We believe they they got busy and gave our room away and LIED about to us about no pet reservation. WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE!

Needs some updates more welcoming colors perhaps new sheets and TLC in some areas... Heater works, when using the shower Hot water was taking forever until I realized knob had to be switched to Cold to get Hot water. Looks a bit sketchy but not a bad stay.

Everything is okey except the free breakfast . When I book I was expecting it because it said in the ads . Price is right on our budget and location . My only comment is for the Jefferson to remove the offer of free breakfast .Completely understand the reason because of the covid .

or the price not a bad one night
For the price not bad. Quite old run down little place . Room clean carpet could use a deep cleaning but rather then that everything else clean. If ur passing through and need a one night rest stop for cheap this is perfect. Not really ment for long stays .

Good place. Great owners/hosts. A few negatives: sheets didn’t fit king bed properly. We needed another comfortable chair, two chairs for table were too high for us. Noisy neighbors late at night on both sides of us. Someone knocked on our door in the middle of the night as well. Would stay there again however...

The room was freezing cold. Poorly insulated and it took forever to get a somewhat comfortable heat. there was a huge gap in the bottom of the door allowing cold air in. Put a towel down did help. Bathroom freezing. Terrible breakfast! Was certainly not worth the money paid.

You get what you pay for
The hotel was worth the amount we paid. It was only an over night stay. However, the bed was very stiff, the floors seemed sticky, the heater/ac was very loud and woke me up several times during the night. They did have plenty of pillows, the bathtub was deep and clean, the tv was updated and the wifi was surprisingly good.

It fit my needs for a short stay
This was a trip to attend a reunion. What I really wanted was a clean, fairly comfortable place to sleep. I was very satisfied with what I got. It's not fancy nor anywhere near high end but it sure worked for me. My only real complaint was that the WIFI was really unreliable.
