Good for travelling with pets

Reserved two rooms through Expedia and received confirmation. When I arrived at midnight, after driving for 10 hours evacuating Florida because of Hurricane Irma - with 4 adults, 1 child, and a dog in tow, I was told that one of the rooms was "accidentally" cancelled by an employee of the hotel. Of course there were no more rooms to give me. We were all exhausted, so we made due with the one room, but I can't help but think that the cancellation may have been made to accomodate a guest willing to pay a higher rate... It was an unfortunate incident, but the hotel is great for travelling with pets - plenty of space for them to walk, and a reasonable pet fee of $20 per pet, per night. I did receive a refund for the second room from Expedia.

Traveling up the east coast

Pros: Nice people, clean, comfortable and breakfast
Cons: N/a
Location: Just stayed overnight while traveling thru the area. Did not do anything in the area
We needed a place to stay late in the evening while traveling North. Since we are always happy with Best Western we looked them up online and were happily able to get a room for the night. We were very satisfied. Thank you

Lock me up!!

Pros: Staff was fabulous.. Food in the morning great- coffee fabulous

Location: Have stayed at this hotel 5 times- 15 minutes from everything
Was 20 minutes into our stay - Room113 and the deadbolt to the door broke! Could not get out of the room. The manager tried to open with a pass key but it did not work.! The manager and maintenance man had to enter through the window after. I Opened it and removed the window , good thing we were on the first floor.! after 20 minutes they got the lock loosened and the door open! We were moved to a different room. My wife did not sleep well the next two night worried the door wouldn't open if the re was an emergency!!

Okay, but no wow factor.

Pros: Nice staff. Really nice soaker tub. We rented a room with a Whirlpool Tub in it.
Cons: Just the presentation. You can go cheap without it looking cheap. A $160 room should warrant more than a $9 coffee pot.
Location: The beach is about ten miles away. Nice restaurants, maybe 6 miles south. Not much directly around the motel.
Motel was clean and staff was great. Everything was a bit minimalistic. Candy by the bedside = 2 tootsie rolls. Cookies served at 6:00 pm. My son got one, but I never saw them. Nacho bar consisted of a few tortilla chips, nacho cheese, and a little salsa. All of it on a 2' x 4' table. 24 hour coffee downstairs, all they had was decaff. Coffee machine in the room was a complete joke. My family wasn't on vacation, but had we been, I would have been disappointed. It was like they didn't want to waste anything so they didn't make enough of anything. Breakfast was small (according to my kids.) I didn't bother going down. Not a bad experience, just not a place I would ever care to revisit.

Great hotel, great value

Overall Great visit. Great customer service, Wonderful choices for breakfast and tasty! Every staff member I encountered was friendly. My kids wanted to stay longer!

Fair price,close to Amelia

We were condo hunting on Amelia island,very busy memorial week-end,so we booked at Best Western Yulee. Nice area,comfortable hotel and close to Amelia

Hotel was nice. Only there overnight. The only complaint I would have were the pillows were too soft and on small German roach in the bathroom but then again this is Florida.
