Best price in the area; updated room; great staff

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Price and updated rooms. Access to highways.
Cons: Vacuum the elevators, and put fans in bathrooms :)
Location: 10% off at 24 hour Denny's across the street, Pottery and Antique stores near by, close to highways.
Stayed 4 nights/3 days. Enjoyed the updated hotel rooms and morning breakfasts - eggs, pancakes, sausage, fruit, cereals.

Business

Manager Billie refused to give me a receipt with my hotel rates on it. I work for the State if Ohio, have stayed at this hotel before, gotten my receipts. I had to call Expedia to get one. There was a witness to this another customer getting coffee while Billie raised her voice as a show of authority over me. I tried. To explain I needed my rates so she printed a receipt, covered my rates with a paper, copied the zero balance gave me the paper, told me it was policy and I could talk to Rosie. I left, called Expedia and got the receipt. Billie was rude and turned her back on me. After Expedia was involved there was no policy for keeping my receipt. Billie owes me written apology and a reason why she singled me out to hold my receipt. I am State of Ohio Health Care Regulator (RN,QIDP,CFRN) for nursing homes and she delayed my entrance to continue the survey process. Which entails investigating the facility for abuse and neglect, which her actions caused me to be late for.

Expected More From Best Western

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: clean room, nice check-in person.
Cons: Have plenty on b-fast bar, change waitress, have air circulating so smoke smell is not so dominate. HAve roll away IN ROOM.
Location: I liked the Denny's diner. If we are in the area again, we will go there and visit historic Zanesville.
The room was ready and the staff person was nice but I had to take my roll away up myself with my luggage. The motel smelled like cigarette smoke throughout. The room was clean, but a noisey hall. We had to skip breakfast because everything was constantly out except coffee and the waitress was slow, inconsiderate and rude. At this point, I cannot recommend.

Cockroach outside was not welcoming but the inside of the room was better, though had trouble sleeping thinking of what else was there. Nice staff though.

Clean and comfortable

Clean, comfortable room that met our expectations for an overnight stay. Nice breakfast in the morning, including the first time I have ever seen an automatic pancake maker. Some huge potholes in road leading up to the hotel, so watch out for your car axles.

Nice place for the area

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: The location to where we needed to be and the staff was very helpful
Cons: Be prepared when over booked in rooms with staff
Location: The Wilds
All the staff was very nice but was short staffed, had front desk personnel doing 3 jobs (front desk/check in /out, breakfast room and laundry. The hotel was not prepared at all for as busy as it was
