Stayed here for 2 nights in July, Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views of beach and close to market stalls and alleyways in centre if stone town. Breakfast served on terrace overlooking the beach. Food excellent especially breakfast buffet. Hotel has lovely feel and character to it. Nice ...
Some charm, like arched doorways and decorative details. Bathroom horrible--all aspects of it. Terrible mattress. No views, maybe a wall of a building, for many rooms. Pay much more for an ok view of the green space in front. Great location with much more expensive hotels nearby.
Our staying was good. The facility is under renovation and we awared of that, so it was okay. I think it will be a nice hotel after they finish fixing up. Hotel is in a good location
The hotel is in an old building with quaint layout and features. Not a multinational chain place. Big bathroom, spacious room with comfortable bed and I had the best sea view balcony in the place (Livingstone Room). Some excess noise from the music Academy next door but not at night and their concerts ...
Its a bit hard to find if you are out by yourself, but a driver will know exactly where it is. Its got everything you need and the rooms and very comfortable. Service is excellent as well. Walking distance from the ocean and the food/shopping areas.
We spent 9 days in this boutique hotel. It was lovely, our room was so cute with lovely touches from flowers on the bed on arrival to towels laid out in different style each day (even a heart to end our stay). It was beautifully turned down twice a day and made us feel so welcomed. Our room was lovely ...
Our stay was flowless. Note that the hotel has no parking but they allow parking in the sister hotel "tembo hotel" nearby (within 50 meters of hotel). The breakfast is varied and good. The hotel is well located within walking distabce of everything of interest in downtown.
Doesn't serve alcohol or pork.Beach at low tide very dirty so swimming in sea unappealing. Nice pool. Better to stay at hotel with pool in Stonetown for a few days and avoid taxis into town. Beaches on North and East coast excellent
Loved that you can walk everywhere ... right in the middle of the shops , Forodhani nite market , Old Fort restaurants.Great breakfast. Rooftop bar with live music & spectacular view .
1. Decent wifi 2. Was able to book Stonetown Walking Tour with the hotel 3. Staff was helpful and friendly 4. Air conditioning in the rooms was great 5. Roomy shower and bathroom. Bedroom was nice sized as well. 6. Breakfast was decent, had the basics and was enough for me. 7. Location was good, ...
This is very much a resort hotel with entertainment laid on whether you like it or not and evening meals run on a buffet basis. It is in a fantastic location on a beach and has lovely grounds and a beautiful pool. It is a perfect base for exploring Zanzibar and going on excursions. The beach outside ...
A friend and I had a fantastic weekend staying in Stone Town at Rosal B&B. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot and breakfast was great, with a view of the town from the rooftop restaurant! A staff member met us at the ferry which was so nice because it's easy to get turned around when you arrive. ...
Situated in centre of old Stone Town with narrow alleyways around it so no traffic noise! ATM nearby and travel/tour operators also near offering Prison Island and tortoises tour $14US instead of $40US offered at hotel! As are Spice Farm and Jozani Forest with red colobus monkey tours Quaint old ...
No surprises here. Hotel has a good location within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Check in was fast, friendly and efficient with an added treat of a homemade cookie that was so good. Restaurant on the roof served buffet breakfast with a good selection. Overall happy with my stay ...
One of the Cleanest and best maintained hotels in Stone Town, It is a short walk away from the more premium shops and from must see spots such as the Fort, Museum, Slave Market and Freddy Mercury's House. The food in the restaurant on the top competes with the view for attention, neither giving way. ...
