too far from the center of the city

Pros: the building looks impressive from outside.
Cons: the steps from the lobby to outside were uneven, safety hazard, I almost tripped.
Location: fI was far away from everything.
It took a long time to deliver our suitcase from our room (in different building) to the main lobby area for check out, we almost miss our pick up arrangement.

Beautiful Hotel

Pros: Nice trails behind the hotel. Nice fitness facility.
Cons: None
Location: Convenient with shuttle to the subway station.
Grand Hotel is a beautiful hotel with great architecture. It has nice restaurants and cafe. It has fitness facilities 3-4 min walking distance from the hotel.

Hotel with history

Stayed in deluxe twin beds room...the large room was nice but the beds felt very small in comparison. The showers were not clean and had mold (rust color and black) on the chalked sides and corners. Otherwise, staff was nice and very helpful.

Hotel Style

This hotel has been the landmark in Taipei for more than 60 years. The style of the hotel is in the traditional architecture and may not suitable for most of the younger generations. However, I like it.

Historical hotel with great attentive details

Nice location n staff....Hiking trail behind hotel enjoyable. My room has nice view on the river n the 101building

It’s in the name of the Hotel “Grand”!!!

Very nice welcome from hotel staffs on the arrival. The hotel area is huge. The room is really excellent, clean and big. For breakfast, service time is up to 10am, so please just checks yourself in earlier. To my case, I woke up late and getting there around 9:40am. I just needed to catch up with the only remaining stuffs they have prepared.

Simply GRAND!

This is a special hotel and you feel you are in a palace in all aspects. We stayed in a Chi Lin room which was spacious and had beautiful panoramic views of the city, the river and the 101 Tower. Room is a little worn and generally the whole wing is but the experience of staying there is not to be missed. The Lobby was always lively and busy as it is a tourist attraction stop. We had two Buffet dinners at the lobby restaurant which was a great experience in terms of food and ambience.

Chinese Palace

Pros: Historical, good service, friendly people and cleanness.
Cons: clock with light in the room
Location: Night market close by
This is a big historical hotel and they take good care about every little details. We arrived at 8am after a long 16 hours flight, they found two rooms for us to check in right away. The room is small but modern and clean. Shullter to Metro station every half hour or take the cheap taxi. Breakfast buffet has everything -Chiness, Western and Japanese and the dishes never empty. About 10:45am the manager came to every tables and said: Sorry the buffet will be closing soon, please go fill up the plates and take times to eat.
