Hotel ok.

Would have given a 5. Housekeeper did not clean coffee pot on our 2 nd day. Also could have given extra coffee.

Husband and I flew from California for a navy graduation we had checked into another hotel and it was horrible !!! We found this place and they wedge so welcoming very nice staff unfortunately the dryer on their laundry facility wasn’t working so we couldn’t wash but overall great place definitely coming back here

It was very comfortable the only problem was while we were sleeping the maid kept trying to come into the room which was our fault. We forgot to put the do not disturb sign on the door

I've had better and worse

Pros: Breakfast was best part and the kind Breakfast worker
Cons: One of the cleaning ladies did a Terrific job and the other one skimmed over my room and didn't pick up all the towels each day and did not vacuum.
Location: The beach to Lake Michigan is nearby. Six Flags is nearby too but there are much nicer places to stay out near six flags.
I spent 5 days in the hotel. Parts of my stay was good and some was bad but I would not say terrible. The hotel is under renovation and some parts look outdated and some parts do not. When I first arrived my room smelled like an ash tray and I had requested a non-smoking room and there was a bad stain on one of the chairs in front of the TV and there was mildew around the heat and air vents and around corners of the ceiling. The next morning I told the lady at the front desk ( I think she was the manager) and she was very apologetic and offered me a much nicer room and a nice little gift bag for the trouble. This room was perfect and my next 4 nights were good. The Lady who puts out the Breakfast is wonderful. She is really sweet and helpful. Breakfast was delightful every morning.

They need new carpet could update their chairs I seen a bug which I hate the room had an odor when I walked in. Juccuzi could've been a little bigger but was ok loved they gave plenty of towels breakfast was ok

We are happy to inform you that we are currently undergoing renovations and all the hallway carpeting has been replaced and the breakfast room floor is also almost finished as well. We are working diligently to get everything updated. Part of our renovation process will be to update the carpeting in the rooms as well as the soft furniture. We will review the conditions of your room with our housekeeping staff to ensure all guest rooms are up to Country Inns & Suites by Carlson standards.

Not what we expected

The hotel appeared to be more centrally located and newer in appearance. It was in an area with little to do within walking distance and was under active renovation. The two bedroom suite had glass doors between the rooms affording little privacy. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not function. The hot tub was out of service. The breakfast hot choices were minimal. I would not stay here again.
