The Narrows is best hiked in the summer when the water level is lower. Even then, the water level can reach waist level in some parts of the canyon. To avoid slipping in the canyon, wear canyoneering shoes and carry a wooden hiking pole (both can be rented for around 20-30USD in a one of the sports stores). A permit is required if you want to hike the entire Top-Bottom 16-mile hike or plan an overnight backpacking trip. However, a permit is not required for a day hike bottom up. Zion #NationalPark #hiking #Hiking in The Narrows at Zion National Park. This park of the hike takes you through the Wall Street Section. Zion #NationalPark Got up before sunrise so I could hike up to the overlook to watch the sun warm up the rocks. This was taken at Zion national park. This trail was only about 3/4 mile and totally worth the trek.

#nationalpark Zion #nationalpark is my favorite of the 5 national parks in Utah. Every time we go back we discover something new. The Weeping Rock is the only source of water that is constantly flowing year-round. Though you can't see it in the photo, it falls down in front of you while you look out at the canyon carved out by the Virgin River. Canyons in Autumn. Canyon Overlook Trail in Zion National Park. It's a beautiful park; a must see in the U.S. #NationalPark Some impressive views at Zion NP can be found by the road. Zion National Park cliff walls. This made a great base camp for exploring Zion. Great pool, hot tub and fantastically dramatic backdrop (as you can see). Our room had a mini-kitchen and a bidet (!) that the kids thoroughly enjoyed. The view from the Middle Emerald Pool in Zion National park. The Emerald Pools hiking trails take you through some truly beautiful and hidden pools, and gives you great views of Zion the further up you climb. #hiking #utah Wandering around Zion Road trip 2016
#utah #roadtrip #zionnationalpark #nationalparks Welcome to wonderment provided by Zion National Park Just outside the drive down into Zion National park are these rock formations. They are very large. You can park on the side of the road and see them about 100 yards off the road. They were formed over thousands of years of water eroding the side of the canyon. These specific formations were probably a result of back wash pushing over the rock and forming rounded formations. After the water dried up and moved further into Zion canyon the formations were eroded a bit further due to wind. These formations give a great picture of the power of water and how it can wear down through many layers of rock. Love this place Amazing day trip to Zion last weekend. A must see for all national park enthusiasts and outdoor lovers. A bit cold at the narrows trail this day but still an amazing day of hikes and fun. A great view of Zion Canyon can be had at the Canyon Overlook on the east side of the park. As we finished our day hikes in the NP we catched an amazing sight of the moon rising behind the canyon. When entering Zion National Park from the east, stop at the Canyon Overlook Trail just before the long tunnel into the valley. A moderate hike brings you to an impressive overlook of the canyon below and all those switchbacks you're about to drive on :)
#lifeatexpedia Zion national park. By far the best and biggest surprise of my trip out west a couple years ago. With the sun peeking through the clouds in the late afternoon, there was a beautiful interplay of light and shadow in the canyon. I loved how the wisp of cloud echoed the shape of the Watchman. This part of Zion National Park is a terrific area for sunset pictures. Angels Landing - 1500 feet up. Zion National Park, UT, USA Zion National Park from 34,000 Feet. #NationalPark #utah #zion #hiking Road trip 2016 hiking up the narrow ways #nationalpark #nature #explore #roadtrip #adventure
The beautiful Emerald Pools is one of Zion's sweetest signature trails. Generously endowed with breathtaking scenery, this trail is one that children and adults alike will have fun hiking. Waterfalls, pools and a dazzling display of monoliths create the Emerald Pools Trail System. Hike the trails at Zion to see the best views. This is on the Enchanted Waterfall hiking trail. Springdale is a wonderful town at the entrance to Zion National Park. My husband and I took a stroll above Flannigan's Inn and discovered this cool labyrinth. #NationalPark #utah #zion #hiking #waterlust Canyon Overlook
Zion National Park , Utah Entering Zion National Park in Utah. Absolutely stunning drive into the park. Tight hairpin turns, spectacular skies, awesome mountains. This is at the top of Angel's Landing. One of the hardest hikes at Zion National Park and one of the hardest hikes I've ever completed. It has a thousand foot drop on each side of the hiking trail and it's a physically demanding hike where I had to use my whole body to climb. But this is the view at the top, so who could complain? This was an amazing hiking experience. #ZionNationalPark #Utah Observation Point is a great, strenuous hike in Zions National Park. Much less crowded than Angel's Landing. 8 miles round trip. Allow 4 to 6 hours depending on ability. The trail include steep traverses up the cliff side that are good cardio. The Observation Point looks down over the canyon and Angel's Landing. #hiking Road trip 2016
#utah #nationalparks #zion #zionnationalpark Easy doable 1/2 mile hike to overlook. If your driving up from the valley the parking for this is immediately after coming out of tunnel. #zionnationalpark
