Cons: See comments above.
Very tight parking. No complimentary breakfast. Funky floor air conditioner. A little too rustic for us.

Basic amenities. Good location. Gorgeous view.Posted Sep 26, 2015
Good location, 40 yards to the town shuttle stop. The town shuttle runs every 5-7 minutes and takes you to the Zion Visitors Center after 3 stops. The Lodge has basic but acceptable amenities. Decent size fridge. The TV is set to Fox News permanently. We cannot switch to another channel!!!! If you get a room on the 2nd floor, the view of the mountains is gorgeous! But there are no elevators, you need to lug your stuff up the stairs.

Rustic luxury in central SpringdalePosted Sep 25, 2015
Pros: Location, view, furniture, parking, water pressure, cappuccino machine in lobby
Cons: Breakfast not included, coffee & juice only. Pioneer restaurant is really a diner. Even with 20% discount, we ate five meals elsewhere over two days
Location: Central location in Springdale, walk to restaurants, trolley stop 100 feet away to go to Zion.
Pioneer was the only 3 or 4 star hotel in Springdale with reservations available 3 weeks before visit. Pleasant surprise as rooms updated with rustic furniture and modern amenities. Very comfortable beds. High end air conditioner with remote control.

Not worth the moneyPosted Sep 23, 2015
Was going to arrive late. Called that day and they said there would be someone all night. We arrive at the time we told them. The attendant was asleep somewhere and wouldn't answer any phones. We waited 40 min for someone to finally wake up and come out and help us. Rooms had odd smell. Not clean. Was 57 degrees in our room when we arrived.

noisy, unable to use window on ground levelPosted Sep 18, 2015
Pros: Rose the chek in staff
Cons: invest in updates and furniture to fit the space. If one bed is all that fits, have one bed max 2 people.
Location: all good
noisy air conditioner, crowded, table was sticky when we arrived. For the price, disappointing Rose was the only redeeming quality. We appreciated her very much.

nice hotel, close to ZionPosted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: close to everything we wanted to see
Cons: hand held shower in addition to the regular shower
Location: everything is within walking distance, but for places further away it is still close by car or shuttle bus
Very nice, clean, close to shops and restaurants. Beds are comfy, plenty of storage space for travelers. A discount is provided to the restaurant across the way and the food is pretty good. Nice people at all the places we visited.

Disappointing ExperiencePosted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: Nice view and location.
Cons: Ensure what is being offered is actually what one gets at the hotel. I did not get the two rooms and continental breakfast.
Location: Zion is the best. So much to see.
I reserved a room with this hotel due to the title of the room that stated 2 queen, 2 room and complimentary confidential breakfast. On arrival, the host ( appeared to not be happy) stated the front lobby is currently going through a remodel and the continental breakfast would not be available. She did give us a 20% discount coupon to their attached dinner. Wasn't opened early enough for us to explore Zion Park (6:30 am). The room had 2 queen beds in a narrow small one room. We asked about the description given on Expedia about the choices of rooms. The unhappy host stated Expedia misprinted the description and that the hotel as told Expedia to fix it, which Expedia has not. The room was so narrow that two humans needed to walk sideways to walk in front of the beds to the bathroom. The room at least had a nice view! We wanted to explore early the next day and checkout (6:30am), but the front lobby was closed and it had a self checkout. So much for ensuring there were any charges to my credit card for incidentals. Base don this experience, either the hotel is lying about the description of the rooms we picked or Expedia is lying. I figured the first, so I kept making reservations via Expedia on our 7 day trip. However, I am skeptical of using Expedia due that it appears the hotels does not like customers paying through Expedia. Be cautious using Expedia.
