Mildew problem

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: NA
Cons: Mildew
Location: Kanab is a cute town. The Rocking V is a wonderful restaurant with really good food and friendly staff. It caters to vegans and carnivores alike.
We were unable to stay at this hotel because of the mildew. The smell is extremely strong. The manager was nice and gave us a room at their bed and breakfast at no additional cost. The bed and breakfast was wonderful, clean and fresh with wonderful owners.

Fabulous hotel!

Posted Jul 12, 2015
I really liked the attention to detail in the individually decorated room. The breakfast was across the street in the Canyon Hotel, A sister Hotel and it was delicious and in a beautiful room with a Chihuly chandler that was stunning. The food was hot and really high quality.

Pros: There was a pool for the grandkids and patio area to relax outside.
Cons: Perhaps the choice of colors for the exterior as it still looks like a 50"s era motel.
Location: We enjoyed the Moqui Cave experience. The Best Friends Pet Sanctuary was near by however, we didn't have time to explore that.
Room was comfortable and clean. Renovations were nice in this older hotel.

Perfect for a one night stay

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Comfort
Location: We stopped there on route to St George. We visited North Rim Grand Canyon after our stay. Was an easy drive there.
This is a typical American motel style place which seems to have been recently refurbished in a 50s/60s style. It is a room with a bathroom. It had a black refrigerator and microwave retro style. Bed was extremely comfortable. Shower was excellent. There were bikes to use and a heated pool although the weather when we visited was not good enough to use these. Breakfast was served at the sister hotel located one block up the road. No breakfast cereals or orange juice. Plenty of bread for toast, butter and jams. Hot bacon, sausage and omelette. Muffins.

Great find! Great stay!

Posted May 2, 2015 on Hotels
Great find! Small, quite unimpressive, but quaint on outside. But.... Rooms totally updated, comfy beds, great amenities, fast wifi, personalized service ( esp. By Cassie). Sat out on patio with breathtaking views, grilled dinner ( we brought a camp grill), sat by fire pit and enjoyed friends and met new ones! Comfy beds to boot! Hubby and I as well as our friends would highly recommend!

Best Friends Animal Friendly!

Posted Apr 28, 2015
I stayed for 6 nights and did not wish to have my sheets changed or towels replaced every day. Staff was very respectful of the Do Not Disturb sign. Breakfast is now provided across the street at Canyons Lodge and is Fantastic!! I will be back next year.

Great Shower, But Otherwise So-So

Posted Apr 26, 2015 on Hotels
Road trip stop in the last room available. The room was clean, but not odor-neutral. The shower was great- probably the best feature of the place. The bed was ok, but needs much more support to prevent motion-transfer. Sockets need replacing to keep plugs from falling out of them. Wifi was not very good. Complementary breakfast- no need to worry about over-eating here.
