Pros: quiet

Location: Good Mexican Restaurants, antique stores. This is a quaint town of approx. 4,000 people.

Overpriced shabby hotel with poor check-in

Posted Oct 2, 2015
Pros: It was clean, and it was available.
I was checked in by a child in an obviously family owned hotel. Very cute, except that he takes longer than an adult would, so the cuteness had worn thin by the time it was my turn to check in. In addition, I am annoyed that I had to justify my identiy to a child when he questioned it and clearly distrusted me. I love seeing children helping out the family, just don't impose their immaturity on me. And, don't make me justify my identity to one. I paid a premium rate due to a last minute reservation and crowded conditions in Kanab. Even so, the owners had a lot of nerve to charge $134/night for such a tired facility. Clearly the place had been recently painted, but all of the wood trim and doors were very gauged and junky looking. The small cabinet below the mirror in the bathroom was disgusting - there was almost no paint on the bottom of the cabinet, just rust. The rooms were small, although they were clean. A/C unit was very noisy, Not even any kleenex provided. Most importantly, the exterior door in the building did not lock, which was unsettling. There was no additional security chain or latch on the door to the room itself - just one lock.

Good base for travelling to many National Parks

Posted Oct 1, 2015
Pros: It's central location to National Parks, ease of access to the highway, ease of parking, reasonable rate, comfortable beds, cleanliness
Cons: Phones and clocks in all rooms. Fix the guest laundry. Have one low-sugar cold cereal like Raisin Bran and perhaps a fruit such as apples for variety
Location: Kanab is central to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell. "Little Hollywood" Western movie sets nearby.
We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable enough for our purposes. We stayed six nights. It's an older motel, could use a bit of renovation, and the room wasn't huge, but we were comfortable. There was a mini fridge, and the manager gave us a microwave upon request. We were surprised at the lack of a telephone and bedside clock, and though a guest laundry was advertised, it was out of order. Be aware that this is a HUGE tourist center, and the breakfast area was crowded with foreign travelers - but you probably will find that anywhere in Kanab. Fortunately, there was more than enough seating for breakfast (which, by the way, was cereal, toast, muffins, and the ever-present waffles). Overall, we were satisfied with the Royal Inn; we weren't looking to be pampered.

Bleiben Sie diesem Hotel fern!

Posted Sep 30, 2015
Pros: Nichts
Cons: Nehmen Sie dieses Hotel aus Ihrem Programm
Dieses Hotel ist in keinster Weise weiter zu empfehlen! Unfreundliches Personal/Manager/Check Inn! Schmutzige Zimmer/Schimmel, Zimmerschloss ist kaputt! Kleine Zimmer-keinen Penny wert!

Horrible property

After staying there I am committed to living the tenets of my religion more obediently, because if this is what he'll will be like, I want nothing to do with it.

Decent place, about par for the area

Posted Sep 25, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Small refrig is so useful for travellers. Places we've stayed have it on power strip, so it's not on all the time.
Location: Kanab. Beautiful everywhere you turn. Get out and explore nature.
Breakfast included. Close to supermarket and downtown (for meals).

Decently priced hotel with clean, nice rooms

Posted Sep 22, 2015
Pros: Location and price.
Location: Close to Zion and Bryce, very beautiful area.
The rooms were nice and big, the beds also. The manager has a small son who sometimes helps with the check ins, which is cute. Overall, it was a smooth and uneventful experience - which is what you want hotel stays to be :)

Dated hotel close to the parks

Older hotel, family owned and very friendly. Room was extremely small but sufficient for overnight stay. Shower stall recently retiled. Breakfast adequate. Give the property a try!

You get what you pay for. Not bad for the price. Clean and functional. Quiet
