Pros: View of the mountains was nice. And was in a nice looking little town.
The Owner/Manager behind the desk did not do what he said he would do. When we stayed the extra night he told me he would give me the room for 30 or 35 dollars, in order to make more money than what expedia would pay him. I was paying 49.99 total per night with Expedia. Yet after he added in the taxes and whatever my room came to almost $49 anyway. I told him that was not right and was disappointed. He then callled me later to say he would credit me $5, which never happened. Oh yes, and the rooms were very small and tight.

Lovely view of the mountainsPosted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: The location.
Cons: Everything. I was told there is a plan to put up new buildings on this spot.
Location: Central to Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and the Northern Rim of the Grand Canyon and beautiful views all around.
The view of the mountain from the parking lot was beautiful. The staff were pleasant and courteous. Breakfasts were pitiful. And we were there 5 nights!!! Waffles and orange juice only--Oh, and tiny muffins. Fortunately, there were places to eat in town nearby. I asked for a shower seat and was told I could have the one sitting in the parking lot just outside the door of the hotel which was "probably being used by someone smoking". When I asked to have it cleaned I was told it had been in a heavy rain shower the previous day or two, so it was clean. (I didn't use it. I used a chair which was in the closet.)

Crampy, crampy, crampy.Posted Oct 17, 2015
Pros: Location is ok.
Cons: The rooms need to be doubled in size. Care needs to be take to assure shower curtains are sanitary.
The room was hardly big enough for the two double beds that were in it. There is barely 8 inches of space between the beds and the walls. The bathroom was ok except the lower third of the shower curtain had dangerous orange bacteria on it. It needs to be washed and sanitized. The complimentary breakfast room was adequate.

Not a very good place. The room was dingy and not well lit with only one ceiling fixture in the main area.

The room had a humid smell to it and I don't think the sheets were clean.

Just averagePosted Oct 9, 2015
Wasn't sure of the cleanliness of our room at this motel. We were tired and needed a place to sleep. Room was dark and cramped. We left early before sunrise.

Cons: new carpeting
Location: Good Mexican Restaurants, antique stores. This is a quaint town of approx. 4,000 people.
stayed one night. Hotel was a little run down, but it was clean and there were no obnoxious odors. The cliffs surrounding were gorgeous.

Overpriced shabby hotel with poor check-inPosted Oct 2, 2015
Pros: It was clean, and it was available.
I was checked in by a child in an obviously family owned hotel. Very cute, except that he takes longer than an adult would, so the cuteness had worn thin by the time it was my turn to check in. In addition, I am annoyed that I had to justify my identiy to a child when he questioned it and clearly distrusted me. I love seeing children helping out the family, just don't impose their immaturity on me. And, don't make me justify my identity to one. I paid a premium rate due to a last minute reservation and crowded conditions in Kanab. Even so, the owners had a lot of nerve to charge $134/night for such a tired facility. Clearly the place had been recently painted, but all of the wood trim and doors were very gauged and junky looking. The small cabinet below the mirror in the bathroom was disgusting - there was almost no paint on the bottom of the cabinet, just rust. The rooms were small, although they were clean. A/C unit was very noisy, Not even any kleenex provided. Most importantly, the exterior door in the building did not lock, which was unsettling. There was no additional security chain or latch on the door to the room itself - just one lock.
