Great place to stay

Very happy with hotel we will stay there again, service great, close to major Shopping center walmart , places to eat out like dominos pizza Or mexican. Starbucks

Beautiful view and close proximity

We enjoyed our trip very much. Beach, hotel and staff were pleasant. When we booked on Expedia this hotel came up under all inclusive option, IT IS NOT!! Really that was our only issue, they have no all inclusive option but this hotel will come up with that option!

Pros: Staff, security, location, were all great.
Cons: Maybe a little more detail in cleanliness of rooms. Small minor things
Location: Great location, close to lots of restaurants, Walmart & a karaoke bar just 5 mins from hotel
Four of us stayed here. At first there were some problems with air conditioning and shower diverter in our rooms, but Fernando was awesome and upgraded us to gorgeous suites high above on 18th & 19th floors. Beautiful ocean view, breathtaking! Nobody disappointed to say the least. After a week in the suite we were a bit sad to have to leave. Great job Grand hotel staff! Would gladly stay here again.

For the price could not beat this beachfront hotel

Large comfortable attractive room. Attractive pool area and beach. Pleasant atmosphere with many families.

Close to the beach reasonable price.

Pictures of hotel online make it look newer then it really is. Hotel would not let me switch from one king to 2 queen beds with out rebooking. Staff overly enforces their "wristband" policy. Poor air circulation and ventilation in the bathrooms and thought most the hotel.

Good for a weekend getaway

The breakfast buffet was extremely good and satisfying, and everyone was very attentive. From the security guards, to the waiters to the guy who processed our check out in record time. The hotel is nice, and while it looks a little bit dated, the services and location are very good. Even the internet was fairly fast! My only objection has nothing to do with the hotel, but with other guests: in the beach zone a large group was speaking loudly and with profanity, and boasting Banda music through a speaker. Later in the evening the same group was at the pool, where thankfully they were asked buy an extremely courteous security guard to turn off their music to avoid disturbing other customers. They objected when another employee reminded them that in order to use the pool they should wear swimsuits and not denim shorts and cotton t-shirts. I was surprised how well the staff handled this very rude extended family. The hotel felt like a very safe place in a town that has some reputation regarding street crime.

great location nice beach

Pros: location and staff
Cons: small charge for beach chairs
Location: right on beach. across from walmart.all kinds of things to do on beach,jet skis and paragliding.
arrived and was upgraded to a suite on the 14th floor with a balcony and spectacular view of the city.everything worked as expected.concierge made reservations for dinner at another hotel to view cliff divers.all amenities on site or close by.across the street from walmart.staff was great from front desk to cleaning crew.highly recommended hotel.
