Convenient, Simple, Clean, and Inexpensive

Posted Oct 30, 2017
Pros: Central location. Inexpensive. Comfortable. Friendly.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Ideally located for exploring most of the old town of Zurich on foot, including the major historical sites and churches.
The hotel is a short and largely straight walk from the main station in Zurich, itself a 12 min train ride direct from the airport. The route from the station to the hotel takes you along the historic banks of the river Limmat. Check-in was fast and friendly and the room, while modestly sized, was fully equiped with bathroom (over-bath shower), television (with HDMI accessible), desk, mini-bar (with free water) and beds. There are an amazing amount of lighting options for the room, which was actually a pleasure - I could get it just how I wanted for both working at the desk and relaxing. My room had a city view, which has absolutely no sound when the window is closed. With the window open, the bustling sounds of the busy pedestrian street below come up into the room, which I found pleasant. In practical terms, the in-room safe was simple to use, really great power-socket combinations, including dedicated USB charging points on the desk, and comfortable beds. There are dining options within the hotel, but with so many options available locally, I chose to eat out and explore a little more of the town. Overall and extremely comfortable stay in an inexpensive, quiet (with the window closed) and clean hotel, just a stone's throw from the river and a bridge away from the historic old town.

Nice but noisy!

Location was great, restaurant good. Couple in room next to us fought at early morning hour. Street noise from below was awful. These spoiled an otherwise delay delightful stay .

Location was fantastic. Windows open to a wonderful side street with vibrant night life. Lots of shops and restaurants feet from the door.
